Video shows Galaxy Z Fold7 dummy side-by-side with the Z Fold6

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is coming soon (July 9), and the recent leaks and rumors have given us a very complete picture of what it will look like.

But nothing beats a hands-on video! This one is by way of Korean YouTube channel TheSINZA and isn’t of an official unit but rather of a dummy built based on leaks and rumors.

An impressively thinner new Galaxy Z Fold

It may not be official, but the dummy looks the part. It gives a pretty good idea of what to expect from Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7. When put side by side with its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold7 looks very smart and thin.

Its rumored girth is just 9mm when folded and 4.5mm when open. That’s an impressive reduction compared to the 12.1mm and 5.6mm respective figures of the Galaxy Z Fold6.

TheSINZA also hypothesize that the weight of the Galaxy Z Fold7 is only 215g, which isn’t only lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold6 (239g) but it’s even lighter than the 218g Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Another look at the differences in profile

Despite being thinner and lighter, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 will have bigger and better displays. The cover screen is rumored to be a 6.5-inch unit with a conventional 21:9 aspect ratio. Inside, it will have an 8.2-inch unfolding screen with a punch hole camera (gone is the under-display one). That compares to 6.3-inch and 7.6-inch, respectively, on the Galaxy Z Fold6.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 will have three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. It will come in Blue Shadow and Jet Black colors too. The SoC should be the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
