this looks awful. Judging by the directors and writers it looks like a bland comedy. Just AUGH! This is NOT the platform D&D needs! If it was gonna go film, it had to do a lord of the rings larger than life route. What DnD really needed was a 12 episode season on a streaming service.

The facemask might then be Masked Lords of Waterdeep, but it would be missing the rest of the outfit.
The guy with the hat behind the unmasked guard looks like a trader from port nyanzaru or Calimshan.
The access in pink is unnamed, so I am guessing playing a background character. I can't match her broach with any noble symbols from Neverwinter, so I assume it's nothing.
The 'cleric' character you pointed out is either an elf or half-elf. My guess wood elf, and a wizard.

Maybe Rodriguez will be a halforc and the face covering is to keep the tusks from being seen while allowing visibility for her between takes. All i know is if there are only elves dwarfs and humans im gonna be mad. We need tieflings, orcs, half orcs, aarakocra, lizardfolk, THE FUN CHARACTERS that we like about the worlds of dnd.
At least i know thats what I want in a dnd movie. That and actually being in a setting familiar to fans and players.

Michelle Rodriguez is such a bad actress. She plays one character and has zero range. I was immediately saddened when I heard she was in this movie.

Oof, yeah going to the daily hate mail is always a mistake. I think there are ad blocker blocker addons, but I've never been able to get them to work properly.
The mask could be to stop paparazzi getting photos of her, and possibly of specific makeup that might spoil the plot like zombie makeup or some sort of wound that she receives. But also, I wish I knew those masks existed at the start of the pandemic!
The reflective mirrored mask is for COVID you can find them all over as face shields and sunglasses

I gotta be honest, I try to avoid pre-prod stuff, because often it’s taken out of context, or without final production FX, etc and gets people turned off from something that could otherwise be pretty good once final product is done.
If it's a jumanji-style movie where players get sucked into the game, I might be more okay with that.
I'm digging the armor! A lot more realistic, grounded, and functional than your typical fantasy armor. I guess watching too much of Shad, Skal, & Scholagladiatoria has rubbed off on my design sensibilities.
