Have you already considered giving him more food? Cats have different needs for food… I follow your videos for long time, and I always wondered if Poki isn't an underfeeded cat… It doens't look like a behavior of a cat that likes food. It seems to be a behavior of a cat despered to feed himself. Some cats do need more food then others and in general, if possible, they should be fed, in small portions, more then three times a day. Have you talked already with your vet about what should be the maximum quantity of food Poki, in particular, should eat and how offen during the day?
It's also possible, for a cat taken from the streets, that this is a psicological need for food more than a physical one, but even so, you should understand that it's a painful situation for Poki. In is mind he is anxious to get food because he isn't shore he will have acesss to more later… I've seen this in shelters with rescued cats that have been exposed to long periods of hunger. Is very painful for them and you need to change their mind set and assure them that they will always have enough food and water.
Looking at the most recent video and the zoom in shots at Poki's face, he has so many grey hair on his face now!
I come back and re-watch this on occasion because I love him so much. Poki is an American cat (at heart) in a Japanese household.

this is a very funny video, but it's also kind of odd that you don't do anything to dissuade the cat from the behaviour you don't want it doing. when my cat is getting into trash or trying to jump on a shelf that'll fall down, i just do a quick "HEY" and clap my hands. it works even if i'm across the room. at this point she knows the rules and i very rarely need to do it
