Why do you think the movie would stay to the timeline? Movies often edit or combine timelines for narrative reasons. This can make a more cohesive story to have the large plot beats (Michael, Baby and Vanessa/Vanby) in one section rather than waiting for a sequel that won't happen, plus the first three games don't have much of the MAIN plot, they feed in the missing kids.
It's 4-9 that get into the major Afton beats after he's killed in 3. Smushing it all down makes it plottier than Dead kids, moar dead kids, dead kids ded killer, spoopy stuff.

There was a Freddy mug that was made around 2017, I think it was made by Bioworld (the worst merchandise company ever kinda). The mug had some wrong colors but the mug top removed bit of his head and the whole hat. But with this new one by Youtooz, they made the hat bigger so it looks right!

You know whether or not the leaked plot is true, i just wanna say that it being in a parallel timeline to the og games timeline makes sense, cause in adaptions the movie almost never is a 1for1 adaptation of the original there's alway some form of changes made

I wouldn’t mind if the film takes place in a alternate universe or not and it wouldn’t be surprising if it does, I know some people are gonna be complaining that it’s not in the games universe but seeing the mess of lore in that universe makes me kinda glad that there starting with a cleans slate. The movie( and possibly movies) can have the best version of the Fnaf universe (canon universe at least) and I have quite a bit of faith in saying that.

Funny how Greg from "Fetch" looks like a blond version of Gregory from "FNAF Security Breach". We had "Into the Spiderverse", "Into the Kenjiverse", and now we got "Into the Gregverse".
This could very well be an alternate dimension, but this leak doesn't seem 100% confirmed. The article could have taken the filming date and location from the movie, and that doesn't mean it's confirmed. The description also isn't stated itself in the other article, and there have been unprofessional errors. Just because the story seems to fit the description, doesn't mean it's confirmed either, we would all assume Michael is the FNAF 1 guard. Who knows, but I still don't think it's confirmed yet.
I think that the Five Nights at Freddy's film is definitely…different, to say the least. I'm still kind of keeping my fingers crossed that the movie plot is based more on the games rather than the information that these supposed "leaks" are giving, but I really just don't know. I'm honestly not going to believe anything unless it comes from Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi, Jason Blum, or any of the other script writers and/or producers of the film.
