Drink every time he says „game“
this review did not age well……the server slam was flawless with connection. no rubber banding, no queues, no disconnection for me at all and I played 20 hrs
Not going to be buying any more video games on pre-order. Ever since the BF2042 debacle, among many before it, I refuse to give these game companies any more of my money until I see a finished product that works and is fun to play.
on PC the only issue I had was the story not progressing sometimes or getting stuck in the opening town. Other than that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Dogshit mmo
Thank you for this info!
clueless video
Is adding an offline mode doable? I feel like that's the simplest/best way to mitigate server issues, plus when I think of Diablo, I think of a single player game with optional multiplayer from the good ol' days of Diablo 1 and 2
DELAYED YOU FACE!!!
The problem with players getting tired of products that are not complete is that they keep pre-ordering and buying stuff in game. In the companies eyes it is a success because they sold. People are not voting with their dollar, only bitching about the meal that wasn't very good after they ate it and then hanging around for more drinks and hoping desert makes up for everything.
Is the game release without being proper ACTIVISONs involvment? BLIZZ has a good record of releasing games when they are ready. To me, this is Craptivison.!
Performance is low on the concerns. Mine was the inconsistent writing. Some side quests have better writing quality than the main story. The dialogue really goes up and down in the limited experience we have with the beta. I am quite sure there are multiple writers working on the game and the difference between their qualities really show in the game. The main quest unfortunately gives me D3 quality and vibe, minus the childish art style.
I got kicked out twice, and ran into a couple of bugs… I stopped playing man
Why are you acting as though the beta's problems are unfixable within 2 months? We've had far less time between beta and release in other triple-a games and they have fixed far worse problems. The beta is literally designed to identify these problems and that's somehow a bad thing. (For the record I encountered 2 bugs during the beta, which is far better than most modern games at full release).
3:22 Yes they'll review bomb the game and express their dissatisfaction online, but they'll still buy the game at launch thus making their outcry absolutely redundant.
Its should be never relase …1/10…incredible bad…
I dont remember any blizzard game without disaster at launch
Rubberbanding and lag where the major issues, so almost all network performance issues. Probably more to do with server issues, than client issues.
Maybe I was lucky, but I played about 10/day for both betas, and yes, I had a few instances where I experienced server issues. However, I was only disconnected 2 maybe 3 times over both betas and had only a handfull of issues leaving the main town. Other than that, it was very smooth. I do know that the servers were being stressed
During open beta every single time I Portaled back to kyovashid I would get disconnected. I played on ps4
Kotick should be delayed, indefinitely.
I played on PS5, I really only got into Diablo when 3 came out. I’d say it seems similar but as you pointed out, devs rushing to release games quick, I’m sure money woes involved. I’d say wait till fall, but I’m not an Uber fan of this type of game.
Definitely ran into many of the bugs you talked about in my playthrough. Sounds not matching, had to go around a different way because of an invisible wall. 100% agree it needs to be delayed to work out the many issues the game currently has. Overall really enjoyed what I played.
My biggest complaint about Diablo 4 is that I can still play Diablo 1 after 20+ years, and there is absolutely zero guarantee that will be possible with Diablo 4. The game is launching on life support.
Well, for me the performance was ok.
i played on pc and didn't have a single disconect over both beta weekends. i played about 40 hours in total.
Ok sure there are problems, but what can you say about the impact of these, and the developmentspeed of the team?
I WANT PRIVATE MODEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This game would have to be an absolute disaster for it to garner negative reviews.
it is like diablo 3 with all those chinise numbers and hitmarks.. it is not still Diablo 2 not even close.
The rubber banding was brutal in kyovashad and kinda bad out in the world. Only a few little bugs elsewhere but yeah all I can say is I’ll pray that it’s better on launch cause I am so hype for this game! I can’t wait till I get to play with my friends
This persistent online thing is nonsense. There should be a way to play offline by yourself, period. Why that's not available at launch is mind boggling
Things I loved about D4:
-Graphics
-Voice Acting
-Gear system
-Classes felt unique
Things I hated:
-Poor class balance
-The U.I
-The server issues
-Low mob density
-The limited character creation
-No risk/reward gameplay for melee builds
-Build diversity
You nailed it on people not tolerating unfinished games. Developers need to keep getting punished for this. Do not preorder. Do not buy at launch
My biggest concern is actually that I just played through Last Epoch and now I'm spoiled by how good their gearing/crafting system is. I hope Bliz makes some changes to how the gear works and puts some of the legendary gear affixes back on the skill tree where they so obviously started. Otherwise yeah, my biggest concern is the always online nature and the issues from D3 launch repeating themselves.
Disconnects are a huge issue.
Now that they have made the spells awesome, they should increase the fanaticism of the enemies… don't have them stand around, a charge at a sprint will add extra energy to their attack…… the necro skellies should charge to fight also, and the golem should smash enemies out of the way like a heavy cavalry charge
My series x performance was perfect/outstanding.
Yes
Like you I thoroughly enjoyed being back in a Necro with corpse explosion. I was just having a good ole time wrecking everything with corpse explosion. Not the best 1v1 but get into a mod and watch it explode.
I had long wait times to log in 15+ minutes. The rubber banding while out on the main map was very annoying and I had large gold broken chains flashing across my screen till I finally logged out and back in. I also had a couple disconnects.
Never should have been MMO/Online only. This is Diablo not WoW.
