Title: SONY Bravia LCD. Nearly a decade old, entering its second act.
Review: Inadvertently or not…, I or someone else may have replaced the HDMI cables on my TV for lesser quality or older versions of HDMI cables. And subsequently it was assumed that my TV’s display technology was unremarkable because of its dated HDMI signal processing, bandwidth capabilities, etc. LolHowever, after connecting these HDMI cables to my SONY Bravia LCD that’s nearly a decade old, …just WOW! The display quality for each picture settings (e.g., Standard, Vivid, etc) been upgraded.Use Case:• HDMI1 (ARC) to SONY soundbar (ARC).• HDMI2 to AppleTV. Streaming quality in HD is stunning!Bravia Sync:• Significantly reduced latency (input, signal, and display) switching TV input sources, HDMI and over ARC input sources.• Remarkable improvement processing audio output.While the visual upgrade doesn’t compare with today’s display technology, the cost to upgrade to quality HDMI 2.1 has currently paid off and works really well with the devices connected to my TV. Review: If you’re looking for quality HDMI cables that will handle 4k@120hz without issues, these will suit you. The thing to pay attention to with HDMI cables first, before considering build quality, is whether they are certified by HDMI.org. These are certified and therefore can handle 4k signals at 120hz. I used these to connect my high-end gaming PC to my LG OLED 4k TV and had no signal issues when the output on my PC was set to 4k@120hz. Other cables that were allegedly rated for those speeds introduced visual artifacts. They just didn’t work. Pay attention to certification, because it matters. You can verify certification at HDMI.org.In addition, the cables feel very solid. The jackets are a little stiff, but I’d expect that would contribute to their durability. These are indoor cables, anyway, but if for some reason you’re worried about durability, these should suit you fine.Overall, very happy with these cables. Would buy again.
