This Sony OLED TV is my pick for best Prime Day deal – and it’s the last chance to get 50% off

I prefer Sony TVs because of their well-tuned picture quality right out of the box, their excellent remote, and their refined implementation of Google TV. My two favorite Sony TVs of all time are the Sony Bravia A95K OLED (2022) and the Sony Bravia A95L OLED (2023), and both are on sale for Amazon Prime Day this year.

Most of today’s TV buyers prefer a 65-inch TV, and the Sony A95L in that size is $600 off (17%) for Prime Day. However, the Sony A95K is a whopping $2,000 (57%) off. That makes the A95K come in at $1,498 — from an original retail price of $3,499.

That makes this my pick for the best Prime Day deal of 2025. It’s also the best Prime Day TV deal I’ve ever seen. However, it is a Lightning deal, which means it won’t last long — Amazon has a timer on this deal that says it will expire at 4:44 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, July 9, or when all available units are claimed.

I’d recommend snapping this one up if you’re in the market for a great OLED TV or simply a TV with the best picture quality at the most aggressive price.

The Sony A95K was a breakthrough TV that was the first Sony to implement Samsung’s QD-OLED display technology and it was widely reviewed as one of the best TVs of 2022, including being named the winner of the Value Electronics’ 2022 TV shootout as the best TV of the year. It was praised for its outstanding picture quality that even outperformed 8K TVs. 

Sony followed it up with the A95L in late 2023 and it won the Value Electronics’ 2024 TV shoutout by being named the King of the OLEDs. It was even called the best consumer TV ever made in terms of picture quality by some reviewers. However, the A95L only has a few upgrades over the excellent A95K. Those include a new gaming menu, better AI upscaling of low-quality content, and a little bit brighter display.

And both of these two TVs are so good as OLEDs that Sony hasn’t followed them up with successors in 2024 or 2025. Instead, Sony has launched a lower-priced OLED (the Bravia 7) and focused on making better Mini-LED TVs, such as the Bravia 9.

That’s why I have no hesitation in recommending the A95K as an incredible value for a 65-inch at $1,498. You won’t find a better quality TV at that price.

Again, the Sony Bravia A95K offers some of the highest picture quality straight out of the box, a backlit remote that is the perfect size and has just the right number of buttons and functions, and a Google TV implementation that’s so solid you can easily use this TV without having to buy a high-quality streaming box.

For those of you comparing brands, Sony has better software and picture processing than Samsung and LG and a nice remote and better Google TV implementation than TCL and Hisense.
