Lovely baby!At one time I was a full-time caregiver for my late husband who was fully disabled and foster to around 30 cats that always seemed to be dumped around my house at the city limits of my small town…. People would see my own 4 lounging in the yard and I suppose the thought since I was a cat lover…. My son's pitty was the greatest cat loving dog I've ever known! She cared about the kittens and watched over them like the nanny dog she is! When she had her 1st litter of 13 pups she wasn't as motherly to them as she was the cats and always had her head on that box when I had one come that was pregnant or giving birth! One big thing though about finding kittens with this eye infection… Be sure to get the medicine to take care of it from the vets ASAP!!! I can't stress that enough! I've found babies that's eyes were so infected they could not be saved or were totally bulging with infection they lost one or both eyes when I took them in and if it gets to that point( bulging total crustiness and cloudy, pus-y) sometimes it is too late to save the eye, so move quickly! I was lucky to have a vet that put me on a monthly payment if my total charges and it wasn't easy on a fixed income .. but when you love animals it breaks your heart to see any go through pain or hunger etc I just can't walk away ..P.S.- that eye infection is EXTREMELY contagious! Mother cats spread it to her kittens by cleaning the eyes and if one kitten gets it they all will! If you clean away the crust and dirt, be sure to use a CLEAN slightly warm & damp tissue or non alcohol benign clean baby wipe WITH EACH AND EVERY SWIPE OF THE EYE, and save them in a trash bag to immediately throw away! Don't place infected kittens with healthy ones , please!

A cat left on the road. Yet another "animal lover" who discovered that taking care of a cat was more responsibility than they cared for. Thanks for saving them. I only donate to causes with children fleeing war and poverty myself but still applaud you for saving the cat and kittens.
