I had a Burmese who did all kinds of things…tried to get the flowers off the shower curtain, knocking everything off high surfaces, to hear them fall, he looked my mom out with the manual deadbolt. He was trying to let her in, because he loved people & knows I let her in. He’d seen me use that latch, so he did not know I left it open. Because he loved everyone, it’s a good thing he didn’t let anyone else in lol. Burmese and Bombays do these things because they’re highly intelligent. I’ve got a Siamese mix who does a lot of the same things. They’re all from the same area of Thailand, originally. The Bombay is a hybrid between the Thai Burmese cat and black cats. I can’t remember what breed they crossed them with, but I know a Burmese breeder who breeds both. I love Burmese, Tonkinese, Bombay, and Siamese cats! They will let you know if they want something. They’re just a little more easygoing.
Good news everyone: My Bombay sits/sleeps in the sink. Even if there is water standing or the sink is running.

I love my house panther so much. Hes such a bug hunter. Some of the pictures aren't bombay cat's. The only reason I know this is because it's the way I found out that our cat was a bombay, and not just a regular short-haired black cat. The Bombay has to have black everything. Nose, whiskers amd paws.
These traits apply to pretty much EVERY cat breed. I have two Bombay kitties. Bro, and sis. Born 4 min apart. They adopted me, when they were 7 months old, from the local shelter. They are now, 2 1/2 years old, and the center of my world.
