Trial of the Sword is the worst. Having to do all previous levels again every time you fail is maddeningly tedious drudgery. It's the complete opposite of fun. Terrible game design.

No, nothing under Rocks, on Big trees, not in all rooms but for sure in the 1. Trail the big tree close to the camp, the room with the high watch out in the far left corner, there are eggs on them. There a few other rooms but don`t ask me right know, i don`t know them by heard any more.
Alo Oasis, cut the trees down, if you are lucky you get acorns. And think on the fairy's LOL

thanks for the tips! I completed the master sword trials right before Christmas. I hadn't had the expansion. now im playing master mode, and jsut pulled the sword because I focused wholey on hearts. not sure if that was smart or not, but im wrecking guardians while wearing the ancient gear so im happy.

do you know if the master sword trials are different in MM than in the normal mode? im assuming all your tips carry over, but thought I'd ask… wonderful video thanks!

For master mode, use bombs like crazy for the first few bokoblin rooms to save on wasting weapons. Also, when you get to the stage with the lizalfos on the platforms over the water, use the stealth attack technique where you keep running around them as they get up to chain stealth attacks. In order to sneak up, you'll need to kill the first one from afar immediately using fire arrows to prevent it from blowing a horn. Also, to prevent the lizalfos from dropping into the water, do only a couple chained swings then pause, then repeat to avoid doing the hard swing that knocks the enemy back. Edit: Also, for the stage where lizalfos can fall off the platforms into the water, don't be afraid to finish them off with a ton of arrow headshots.

Thanks, I did not know you could cook wood for a 1/4 heart. That is good to know now. Maybe I can finish off the levels of the Master trial.

For the final trials, I like to start with strong and long lasting electrical defense: a shard of Farosh's horn, a mix of electric darners or thunderwing butterflies, electric safflina, zapshrooms, etc. The final trials have elemental themes and hazards.
Also in the final trials, save all the rusty weapons for… but you'll see.
And if there's ever a random cook pot, use it to cook anything you have.

In the R&R rooms, do collect the fairies first, get the chests and whatever ingredients (anything special will tell you what the next elemental theme will be), and then bomb all the trees down for the wood– and be sure to collect any acorns. Then cook everything. Never mix ingredient properties. Even part of a heart can make a difference.

Target chests with the Sheikah Sensor, but when you're done with a floor, target arrows and pick them all up.

Your first duty in these trials is to survive. Dying means starting the entire trial-level all over. Ugh. Bravery and honor get to take a back seat to sneakery and thrifty looting. Don't be afraid to loot absolutely everything–and then discard the lesser for the better. Sometimes survival means using an Ancient Arrow, weighing loot against your hearts.
