Tbh, the only thing scary about this game is, if you own a PC, the poor frame rate & optimization.

An end game boss that doesnt even let you use the melee you been practicing and upgrading the whole journey.
No exploration = nothing extra/ no 'survival' aspect when I just get what i get and thats it. No exploring for scavenging of items.
Stomp used to be used for making the enemy stop moving….. And sometimes you would get an item. Now its just a loot button. No other reason to stomp.
Stealth is a joke. Throw objects. Stomp. Takedowns. Nothing is reacted to until you decided to move faster than a crouch.
Audio clips are locked in the menu. No option to move and listen to 13secs of voice acting. You have to stand there and just listen. That's if you even remember where/what audio clip you just picked up.
Copy and pasted graffiti on the walls. ("Dont make a sound". "Sixers")
No map. But doesn't matter cuz you just go to the end of the hallway until credits roll.
No clue we're in space. No zero gravity. No vacuum mechanics.
WAY too many vent crawling sequences. Enough is enough.
Tentacles make them morph? Don't make me laugh. It's the exact same enemy just more HP now. Lazy.
Dodge dodge dodge. Attack attack attack. Rinse and repeat until credits roll.
The health injector is square. Like. Unpolished and ugly polygon square. (And the needle is "high tech" enough to go through my suit??? But my core neck reader/HP bar/ zero gravity space suit can't assist me in healing in any way.)
Zero impaling mechanics.
They just spent way too much money on these voice actors and their faces. The dialogue is a JOKE. I would hate to hear how much they paid these actors to say their lines.
– when they could've/should've saved that money for more development of the actual game. More enemy types. More than 1 boss. More than 1 melee weapon. A better healing mechanic. Stomping/reacting dialogue. More interesting enemy types.
The enemy are just angry ugly men who hit you til you stop moving. Boring. No eating, devouring, hosting, reason for the them to be doing what they do other than just "that's what they are. Now deal with it"
No environmental mechanics. Pick up enemy. Throw them in sawblades. Thats it.
Just sad I caved and preordered this…. I shouldve known better….
its a great game and i am enjoying it but i do think the wacking can get tedious and they should have focused more on weapons just to spice it up a bit, however if you chose the easy difficulty you will get the big guns sooner and have more ammo and more health.
also always keep your eye open for heatlh packs and ammo and explore the routes off the main quest line as they have very nice goodys.

Zoey is absolutely adorable, questioning everything, giggle. If you played Deadspace 1 and 2, you don't trust anything, and you expect enemies everywhere, and nowhere. Do they even exist? Well shit, now there's babies and kids trying to kill me. Good times!
Deadspace was such an immersive game that I didn't want to go back into the Ichimura in Deadspace 2.

YOU GUYS ALSO MIGHT HAVE MISSED the fact that they locked out content specifically for the season pass, you don't get a new game mode and 13 unique death animations unless you pay extra, basically this is content that's already finished and in the game but they guttted it out of the main game so you guys would need to pay more on top of the game already being $70, that means if you want the actual complete experience, the game is $80, for a 8-13 hour game.

This game looks beautiful. It's like The Evil Within meets Dead Space. I don't know why I can't get into games like Dead Space and gears of War. Even though these types of games pack way more evil than Resident Evil

While movies have delivered numerous Sci-Fi Horror franchises, there have been very few videogames that did. Even fewer do them right. Dead Space was so special, as it was rare Sci-Fi Horror and it was done expertly. Am expecting the same from Callisto Protocol.

I don't know if I'll get it on PS5 or PC. My PC is much more powerful (12600K, 32GB, 3080ti) and I think there's also some ray tracing on the PC version but since this is a UE game, I fear the #StutterStruggle.
I'm already sold on buying a copy of the Callisto Protocol. I want this game to succeed because I want to play more well made survival horror games.
Great vid as always but a bit disheartening. The fact that she feels the need to condense a few 15 minute videos that chronicle the process of the Callisto Protocol's creation shows the lack of attention span so many people have nowadays. This game looks incredible. Glen Schofield and the team at SD studios seem to have really taken their time creating this from atmosphere, music, visuals, game play mechanics and dialogue/acting. I personally don't think it's asking a lot of fans to take a few minutes out of their days to watch the process take form 🤷🏾♂️ ijs.

I've got it on a countdown preorder ps5 I'm worried if I will ever get to the end of Callisto as it seems tough to play. I'll take it as getting to each checkpoint save one at a time as being a relief I can still continue playing through Callisto. I'm very excited to play the Callisto protocol.
Building on the excellent docuseries about how they designed Calisto Protocol, Gamespot of all places, also has a series about how horror games are made, but also how they can be therapeutic as well. This is one reason I always look forward to horror games like RE, Calisto Protocol, etc. because playing them alone is one thing, but watching a communal stream is even better because you can witness the streamer's and chat reactions that just adds to the overall experience. It's similar to watching a movie in packed theater vs. watching alone at home.
Too spooky for me; however, I will totally watch someone else play!
