They fixed the drop down thing in the patch
What I think Gotham Knights does better than the Arkham Knight
1. No Riddler Trophies
2. Civilians exist in the city and are part of crimes you deal with
3. Night Cycle makes sense you don't complete the all the main and side missions in one night. It's No way Batman found all them dumb trophies in one night
4. The Jacob Kane leading the Court of Owls twist was more of a surprise than Jason Todd being the Arkham Knight. People knew it was Jason Todd before the game even released
5. The Batgcycle isn't forced into almost every mission like the Batmobile was in Arkham Knight
6. Gotham Knights wasn't a buggy disaster on PC at launch
7. It's crimes that keep you busy even after you beat everything in the game
So many people are to busy sucking off the Arkham Games and Batman but don't know how to move on.
bro ….. skill ups made the point that it would have made more since and been better if this game wasn't made as an RPG. it actually hurt the game and at best they did it badly.
A fanboy who can’t handle that the game he plays is pure trash 🚮 It’s not even holding 30fps on the new consoles 🚮 It’s gear loot system is worse the Avenger’s 🚮 The open world design is boring as hell 🚮 The combat system is pressing one button 🚮 and a 2015 game looks 50 times better then this trash 🚮 Wake up man, it’s okay you have fun in a game but if you want to critique games you have to look at em objectively and not with fanboy eyes like you are doing. SkillUp review was on point and he many times said that some people will have fun in this game but that don’t make up for all the trash 🚮
Fanboys trying to damage control trash 🚮 it’s f’ing fun yo listen to 😂
People are so busy comparing this to Arkam, when a more direct comparison would have been Avengers. Because ya know they are actually in the same genre
TBH Gotham Knights did a lot of things better than all the games in the Arkham series and it isn't getting enough praise for it. I feel like this is one of those polarizing games where in a year or two people will do videos on how it was better than they realized and how much fun it is. If this was an actual Batman game where he was the protagonist I bet, they would be calling this the definitive Batman experience! Here are the top things I think Gotham Knights did much better:
1) City- The city is alive with pedestrians on the streets, cars and other vehicles. Pedestrians react to seeing you.
2) Crimes- There are so many active crimes. From car jackings, bank robberies, muggings, bomb threats, drug & arms deals, police transport breakouts, store front smash and grabs etc
3) Customizations- You can customize your suits and colors to your preference. Hopefully in a sequel they will let you mix and match different suit and gear options. (gloves, boots, cowls etc)
4) Characters play different- In Arkham the combat was more or less the same for each character when you played them. Especially Azrael, who was a carbon copy of Batman just in a different skin. In Gotham Knights, each character plays different, and has different animations along with different gadgets.
5) GCPD- Not all cops are your friend and will attack you on sight. I especially love that after stopping an interior location robbery or bomb threat you have to make a quick exit before swat storms the building. Or stopping the cops from harassing civilians and the corrupt GCPD detectives selling drugs and arms to gangs.
6) Crime Scene Investigations- During investigations the game doesn't hold your hand and just automatically show you the next clue to scan. You have to search for the clues and link them to solve the crime.
7) Vehicle traversal- The batcycle is used for its intended purpose to drive around the city. There is no tank boss battles or puzzle solving using the batcycle.
8) Interrogations- Gotham Knights you have to scan which thug has intel and interrogate them. There isn't just an automatic prompt in (green) to let you know they have valuable info. This makes for actually thinking like Batman and scan everyone before you engage in combat so you don't knock out the wrong person.
9) Endless crimes- After the main campaign there is still replayability as the crimes never stop. It's not just empty streets where you have to create "scenarios" in your head on why you beating people up.
10) Day/Night cycle- Gotham Knights takes place over multiple nights instead of EVERYTHING was unbelievably done all in one evening of fighting crime like in all the Arkham games.
I'm about 25 hours in and i love this game. I am playing on pc but yea every time i bring it up people throw dirt at me but who cares. I like it. I hated red dead 2, and i think god of war 2018 is so so game.
He was comparing them to Batman, like THEY NOT BATMAN, it even shows in a small scene how she got the glide, she literally got the idea from his cape
If this is this games “Arkham Asylum” … boy this series could truly turn out to be something special for an under represented corner of the DC Universe. Really hope the review bombs don’t kill potential sequels cause this was supposed to be the 1st entry in a whole new gaming universe I believe. A lot of people also say that they would pick this up on sale. This game has potential to pull a lot of people in post performance updates , dlc & price drop. When people pick this up for cheaper they’re gonna realize that, yes it has its faults, but it’s a fun game w/mad love poured into it & the reviews were way too harsh (besides the performance & optimization critiques)
I agree. Game is very good, the only REAL issue is the performance and optimization.
I also wanna note that the crime system is more diverse than in any superhero game I’ve ever played. It was basic in the Arkham series, there were no true crimes for Batman to actually stop in Gotham. Just basic enemy NPCs in the city. No citizens, by the way.
Spider-Man “improved” on that crime system but there were only car chases and other small mob fights. Yet in Gotham Knights, you have data transfer, bank robbery, organ theft, faction deals, protect the cops, stop prisoner escape, save hostage in gang hideout, saves bomb-hostages, regular gang hideout, etc. That’s 9 different major crimes and I’m missing 2 or 3 at least. Game is deep, reviewers running a smear campaign on it
EDIT: I can’t believe how many people don’t understand the elemental aspect of the combat. Question: Reviewers are playing these games, but are they good? Can you review this game if you were bad at it the whole time? 🤔
