I got this without needing to attack at all.
1. Trigger the radahn fight, ride around keeping summoning the npc's
2. kill the mimic by using the rot dog summons (or even the jellyfish for its poison)
3. get the mimic tear, upgrade it to 10, you'll have access to nokrum for everything you need
4. give it sleep pots and dumplings to fight the godskin, even exalted flesh
5 make your way to the boss room, get the spear and upgrade it. I got mine to +9
6. The mimic will kill the serpent boss for you. No need for you to attack at all, your first attack will be with the sword. You don't break your rules of using this weapon only.
