This charging pad is specifically designed for devices with magnetic wireless charging, for iPhone 12 and later models. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with Android phones.
Can I charge my phone with my phone case on?
You should use a Magsafe case or charge without a phone case for efficient charging. Avoid cases thicker than 4 mm and non-magnetic cases.
What’s the metal box in the cable? It gets warm during charging, is it safe?

Title: Fits Where I Want It, Works Great
Review: I leased a 2025 Honda CR-V (Hybrid, Sport L trim) that comes with a built-in charging pad. However it wasn’t charging my iPhone fully: the ring on the phone case around the lenses kept it from being flush. So I bought this pad. It can sit on the built-in pad, but for Reasons I “mounted” it left-right instead. The charging cable is not removeable, because part of the mechanism is on the cable itself (for heat reasons, I understand). In the Honda the full-power lighter socket (for us old folks) is right there, so I folded the cable and tied it so the indicator light was visible. I used the provided double-backed tape to hold the pad down, because otherwise the magnet causes the pad to come with the phone when you pick it up. The magnet-safe charging section is raised a bit, so that the lens bump is not an issue. I have no problems with this device and would recommend it.

Title: Fits Perfect in a 2025 BMW R1300 GSA Phone Storage Cubby
Review: Installed in the phone storage cubby on top of the tank on a 2025 BMW R1300 GS Adventure. Fits perfectly with the 30cm cable and works great. The included mounting pads are strong enough to hold the pad in place so I can just drop in my phone to charge or pick it up when I’m done riding. The USB-C port in the GSA only charges at 10W but good enough to fast charge the phone.Photos comparing the Apple Magsafe charging pad and the GSA cubby pad.

Review: This product is junk, the plug in piece broke and when I set my phone on the charging pad it just gey really hot and don’t charge my phone. My phone works on wireless charging well with other products.

Title: Great flat charger pad!
Review: Very good charger.Note that many USB ports in vehicles are only 1 amp. If these are used the charger will work, but prob just keep charge level on phone if navigating. Some cars have a separate USB port labeled for charging. These ports are 5 or 10 amps and will charge easily as you use the phone. The best solution may be to use the aux power 12v “cigarette lighter”. These aux ports can charge at much higher rates. Some reviews say the charging is very slow. Depends where you plug it in, folks.

Title: Great solution for a phone charger for your car or truck
Review: My car came with a Qi charging pad as do many brands of automobiles these days. But – all iPhones manufactured for the last five years have raised camera lenses. That means the phones do not sit flat on a Qi charging pad which causes the phones to overheat. Overheating reduces your battery life forcing you to trade in or pay for a battery replacement.This pad has a raised MagSafe charger on a phone sized pad. That means a more direct charging contact, saving the life of your battery. I found my phone charged faster using the cigarette lighter plug than using the direct A or C USB ports which tend to be lower power.The bottom of the pads is a slightly sticky material to hold it in place and has tapes to permanently hold it in place if you wish A vertical mount will probably work because the MagSafe magnet is strong.The cord is long enough to use but not overly long, leaving a mass of wires. It has a charge indicator light on the cord which tells you if your phones is charging.Other similar products are flat Qi chargers, which will overheat your battery or they have obnoxious lights.If you have CarPlay or Android Auto, this is essential for your car, unless you have a new Hyundai which has a Qi pad with a raised section in the middle.

Title: Not CarPlay compatible
Review: This wireless charger pad works really well. I’m giving it three stars because I wanted to add it to my car. It unfortunately will not work with CarPlay. The technology from the pad to the vehicle does not transfer so the wireless charger device is not recognized by the USB port.If you are thinking you want to use it in your car, just know you will not be able to use CarPlay unless you can hook up by Bluetooth. I can, but I prefer not to.
