Just played this for the first time, and its funny that the person who won in our game went heavy into cards 🤣
Spot on assessment about the replayability. After six plays, it's gotten really stale. And the predominant strategy is to always make cheese on every single turn. It actually doesn't pay off to hoard resources. You can go big once or twice; but any more and you'll miss out on cheesemaking, while someone else rushes to end the game before your creamery takes off.

My biggest problem is you really need to be at a square table.
I appreciate Mike's comment about longevity. These games aren't cheap so it's an important factor for many people.
Sometimes an 8 I can play in under an hour with 80% of the people I play games with is worth more than a 10 that I play every other year in a perfect circumstance.
I love the spinning board with simultaneióous turns, but i hate how the game looks(especially the colors), and the theme.

I do like this game a fair bit, however the simultaneous turns didn't really work for my group. The player on your right will affect your next turn, so you need to wait to see what they do to effectively plan ahead, and if everyone playing has that same mentality the game breaks down because there is no turn structure. With that said, it's still really fun and plays quickly.
I backed this one on Kickstarter, and we finally got around to playing it this weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and will be playing it again!
On the publisher's website, it says, in addition to the wooden pieces, the neoprene mat that goes under the main board is also exclusive to the limited edition. I wonder how it compares with/without the mat. ??
I love this game, it has simultaneous playing and an innovative worker placement system. All in an easy-to-learn package that plays fast.A must keep.
Middle area easily fixed with small dabs of blue painters tape… won’t damage. Easy fix, never thought of it again.

This was my favorite game of 2024. For me, it’s a 10. I hear most of the complaints and understand them, but let me assure you that this game has legs. Between BGA and physical, I have 26 plays of this, and I am still in love with it.
I loved it!
I wound up just ripping the foam sticker off the wooden centerpiece and just using the wooden piece. Works perfect for me.
To me it feels like a less convoluted Tzolkin without the punishing "feed your people!".
One issue I'd point out is that the order cards are all worth the same points… That makes the age1 order cards so much more desirable than age3 which are highly undesirable
Really enjoyed this game, one of my favorites of last year. Plays great at 3 players, even at 2.
My favorite game of 2024. Easy to teach, flows so quickly, packs so many good decisions into a shorter time-frame. The square board pushing up was a problem in my copies I’ve played as well.
One of my friends got a Kickstarter version of this some time ago and I got to try playing a full game. Its interesting, but I have to say that its not one that stood out as a great game which I'd want to own myself. I'd be willing to play a game if I'm invited, but it won't be found on my shelves. Something was missing.
