The steamdeck is just the PSP3 (we dont talk about the vita)
Congratulations on getting the Deck so early! I'm interested in seeing games from GOG or Epic on the Steam Deck.
Man I want a deck but Rn I canāt get it
You should make videos only on steam deck; by only using the steam deck to edit the videos
ÄOD OF WAR 4. š»š»š»š»š»š»š»š»
yeah i think it was linus who said sd card load time is almost the same as ssd. granted u buy a good sd card.
i got a evo 256gb so i should be good.
and i agree the 3 day window is annoying i was checking my email each day. until seeing on steam in small lettering : release date/ship date Q2. i was like why…
i ordered the 25th a week after the opening. and then i see ebay scalpers all over the place.
gabe tried but we still have heaps of scalpers š and thus i have to wait.
More on windows on the deck, how games run and comparisons. Also how windows runs on SD card compared to on the internal SSD. Love the channel!!
Really happy to hear that you're getting a deck! Looking forwards to your hands on reviews š
Another amazing video
Also mabye you could try playing idk any performance heavy games I kinda just want to see more of the performance lol
Congrats on getting the deck
…though what I'm curious about is if I can use Cinnamon in Desktop mode. I like it more than the Pop interface, but fsr Japanese input and controller recognition break in that DE. And on Cinnamon, Desktop Steam's text size makes Plankton look like the Tokyo Tower.
15:07 I would greatly appreciate seeing you do a performance benchmark of Burnout 3: Takedown and Shadow of the Colossus on PCSX2, but more importantly I want to see whether or not you can run Konsole in the non-desktop Deck UI somehow to launch other applications such as web browsers like vivaldi, text editors like Kate for making command aliases in your .bashrc, launching video links from youtube through mpv using terminal commands etc. but just be careful and look up a way to actually close it properly in that environment if you're gonna do that, would suck if you soft-bricked your press kit. Can always press Ctrl+C to stop a command.
Nobody has covered this aspect yet as far as I know. If Deck UI can make GUI launchers out of terminal commands without having to go into desktop mode that'd be great.
Specific commands I'd like you to try with konsole in Deck UI (not in KDE Plasma):
mpv –no-video https://youtu.be/FpeDZfJMraE (Opens up a youtube link in audio only format)
mpv https://youtu.be/bUo1PgKksgw (Opens up a youtube video with mpv video player)
vivaldi-stable https://store.steampowered.com/steamdeck (opens up steam deck reservation page in vivaldi web browser)
yay -Syu && flatpak update && sudo pacman -Syu (this updates all your applications on the deck and your system, I assume Deck UI is just a desktop environment akin to KDE, GNOME, i3, etc. so nothing bad should happen if you do this in deck UI *I presume*. Have your sudo password ready.)
Still waiting on mine. I belive it'll come at the perfect for me.
Well i got my Steam Deck: The fan is a bit loud but not like a eurofighter in front of you, the sound, damn this thing has such a great sound system inside its crazy, portal ori lego star wars played and felt very good, looking it on 30 fps is no dissapointment at least on those titles, for portal 2 i needed to switch the gyro control on by myself but it feels great for finetuning. what i wondered is that by the 512gb version is that 190gb are full with updates, no idea but i guess its for a save spot for future updates to have enough space. tomorrow i will try if i get my quest 2 connected to it for trying out beatsaber
I'm shocked at the lack of Minecraft coverage on the Deck. It would be awesome to see some coverage of that (along with OptiFine)
Also, congrats on getting your Deck! I can't wait to get mine in Q2. I think the software will be improved massively within the next couple of months.
Most of us believed that the dock wasn't going to release at the same time as the Deck because Valve told us it wasn't going to months ago, lol
How about a video on the best alternatives to the highest profile non compatible games?
I rly hope you can summarize all the updates that are happening to steam OS once you get your deck, since everyone is mentioning that its getting updates all the time
Need videos on the pads.
Big deal Gabe Newell delivers the Steam Deck so what does he give you a million dollars also as a bonus when he gives you the Steam Deck then Iāll want him to deliver mine
I haven't seen anyone do a really comprehensive "how to" on external launchers, like the rockstar launcher for example. That would be great to see. How do you install them, how do you run them, do you need lutris, and how buggy/annoying is it
Do you recomend buying the most expesive option on the steam deck
Congratulations on the milestone, I'll like to see Duke indie games running on the Deck
Glad to see you giving Grapple Dog some love
Congrats on the press kit! You definitely deserve it!
When do you think the steam deck will come to Australia? And I also really like your content! šššš
