Title: High Quality Charger. Works on my 2013 Volt.
Review: High quality plastic, doesn’t overheat, tight fit on my 2013 Volt. You will notice there is no 12 amp setting. Not a problem just set it at 13 amps and the car will automatically only draw about 12.1 amps. I am very happy with this charger and have done about 20 charge cycles so far without issue. Several charges were in 100 degree settings with the car in direct sunlight. Great product. Just a note: I have not used the 220v modes only 110v at 12amps…

Title: EV Charger for All Seasons
Review: It has a 110V and a 220V plug. The 220 plug fits a normal 220 outlet, not.a dryer outlet. Pretty handy. It does its work as advertised and comes with a carrying case and instruction.

Title: Great budget choice!
Review: Much faster than my stock charger. This charger is excellent! It’s a fabulous value replacement for my stock Ford EV charger which kept faulting no matter what I did. It is very easy to use, is compact, and hangs easily on the wall in my garage. The length of the cable is fine for me and is sufficient for the distance from the center wall of my garage to the driveway. Very pleased.

Title: ★★★☆☆ Good for Backup, but Not Ideal for Regular Use
Review: Update, they reached out to me and blamed me for the issue I had with the charge. WOWI’ve been using the Portable EV Charger (Level 1/Level 2, 16Amp, 110V/240V) for a few weeks now, and while it has some strong points, it also has several drawbacks that keep me from giving it a higher rating. Overall, I would say it’s a decent option if you need a backup or emergency charger, but I wouldn’t recommend it as your primary charging solution.Starting with the positives: The charger is fairly compact and easy to transport. It’s lightweight, and the included (though basic) carrying case makes it convenient to toss into the trunk or frunk without taking up too much space. It’s compatible with both 110V and 240V outlets, which makes it versatile whether you’re at home, at work, or at a friend’s house. Switching between Level 1 and Level 2 charging modes is simple and doesn’t require any special setup — just plug it into the appropriate outlet and go.On 240V, I get about 10–12 miles of range per hour of charge, which is about what you would expect for a 16-amp charger. It’s definitely faster than charging off a regular 110V outlet, but not nearly as fast as some of the 32- or 40-amp chargers out there. The cord length is another plus — at around 20 feet, it gives you a decent amount of flexibility in how you park relative to your outlet. Now, for the not-so-good parts:First, the charger’s build quality is just average. The casing feels a bit plasticky and the connectors aren’t as robust as you would expect if you plan to use it every day. The plug fits into the car, but not with the tight, secure “click” that my OEM charger provides. I sometimes find myself wiggling it to make sure it’s actually properly connected.Second, the display screen is a real weak point. It’s small, dim, and not particularly informative. Half the time, it doesn’t clearly show the amperage, voltage, or time charged — and if it does, the information sometimes appears delayed or inaccurate. This isn’t a huge deal for a backup charger, but for regular use, you really want clearer feedback from the device.Third, the charger does get noticeably warm after about an hour of Level 2 charging. It hasn’t overheated or shut down, but the warmth is concerning, especially if you plan on using it for overnight charges. Long-term reliability is questionable if it runs hot every time. Finally, while it’s great that the manufacturer included a carrying case, it’s really more of an afterthought. It’s flimsy, has no structured compartments, and barely fits the charger and cable. It would have been nice to see a more durable, fitted case that protects the charger better when stored.Overall:This charger is fine for what it is — a decent, affordable backup or emergency solution if your main charger isn’t available. If you plan to use it once in a while while traveling or during a power outage, it will get the job done. But if you’re looking for something reliable enough for daily home charging, I would suggest spending a little more for a charger that has better build quality, stronger connectors, a clearer display, and improved heat management. Three stars from me: functional, but compromises too much to be truly great.

Title: Works great
Review: Very affordable and allows charging from any standard 15 amp outlet .I ordered this to keep in the vehicle as an emergency charger .I never know when I could end up somewhere for whatever reason , haha , and not have access to anything but a standard receptacle .This charger provides cheap insurance .Plugged into a VW ID4 82 kWh battery , set on the 10 amp charging current , it was adding about 4 miles of range an hour .I know that’s small but 10 amps should always be doable in a 120 volt outlet and it added 40 miles of range while charging overnight for about 10 hours .Of course , that number was what the computer was coming up with at the time and it appeared to ultimately add more range than that .EV drivers know all about the range estimates . Nuff said .Higher amperage charging will undoubtedly add more range .All components of the charger stayed at ambient temperature while charging .EDIT : charging at 13 amps yielded a 50% increase in forecasted mileage by the computer .Adding 6 miles of range per hour vs 4 miles .So a 30% increase in current yields a 50% increase in charging , or something like that .It will of course vary a bit depending on what type of vehicle is being charged .
