Following an Apple TV+ price increase, Apple One could be an even better value than before. Here’s how the math works out, and if it will save you money or just be a money pit.
The Apple One bundle arrived in 2020 and has been the go-to option for Apple device owners ever since. It offers multiple tiers, so there should be one for everyone.
However, while your favorite services might be included, there’s a good chance they’re joined by some cruft. Apple TV+ fans might not need Apple Fitness+, but to save the most, they’re going to get it regardless.
The upshot? Whether or not Apple One is worth it to you will very much depend on which services you use.
If the answer is “all of them,” then the math is much, much easier.
Is Apple One Individual worth it?
Of the three Apple One bundles, Individual is the cheapest. It’s designed for single people who want the core Apple services experience — and nothing more.
The base package is Individual, which costs $19.95 per month. For that money, you get access to Apple TV , Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud .
You also get access to a number of additional features via the iCloud+ subscription. Those include HomeKit Secure Video support, custom email domains, and privacy features like Hide My Email and iCloud Private Relay.
Bought separately, the iCloud+ allowance would normally sell for $0.99, while Apple Music runs $10.99. Gamers pay $6.99 per month for Apple Arcade on its own, and then there’s Apple TV+. The streaming service saw a price hike in August 2025, taking it from $9.99 to $12.99 per month.
That alone makes this a solid deal — assuming you’ll use all of the included services. Bought separately, the services would cost $31.96, but with Apple One Individual, you’ll pay just $19.95.
Is Apple One Family worth it?
For families, Apple One Family is perhaps the better option. It’s a grown-up version of the Individual plan, adding storage and other upgrades.
The Family plan is designed for families of up to five people, as the name suggests. It also increases the iCloud+ storage from 50GB to 200GB to accommodate more people.
In terms of value, this plan saves buyers even more than the Individual offering. The iCloud+ storage sells for $2.99 per month, while Apple TV+ costs the same $12.99. Apple Music costs $16.99 when you have more people, while Apple Arcade still sits at $6.99.
In total, that’s $39.96 worth of services for just $15.95. You save $14 without breaking a sweat. If you have a family, this is the tier to consider. That is, unless you want to plump for Apple One Premier, of course.
Is Apple One Premier worth it?
If money is no object, or you’re all-in on Apple services, Apple One Premier is the place to be. It isn’t cheap at $37.95, but you do get a lot for your money.
The Family plan bumps iCloud+ storage to a whopping 2TB, while Apple Fitness and Apple News are thrown in for good measure. Family Sharing is enabled, just like the Family plan.
Apple Fitness+ includes a growing collection of guided workouts for you to follow, while Apple News+ is the place to go for news, magazines, and more.
In terms of value, the 2TB iCloud+ normally runs $9.99 per month. Add $9.99 per month for Apple Fitness+ and $12.99 per month for Apple News+ to the same prices as the Family plan, and you get $70 worth of services. But you only pay $37.95, saving a massive $32.
If you have a family of around four or five people, and you want to use everything Apple has to offer, Apple One Premier is a no-brainer. It’s an incredible value when compared to subscribing to services individually.
However, the value proposition only holds if you use most of those services. Strip away the Apple Fitness+ that you might not use, and Apple News+ that you use sparingly, and the math soon changes.
Apple One — what comes next?
There is little doubt that Apple One is here to stay. That’s a good thing, because who doesn’t like saving money?
In the future, we may see Apple roll out new health features that are included in Apple One. The same goes for more advanced Apple Intelligence features, too.
Questions still linger about potential Apple One price increases, too. Following the Apple TV+ increase to $12.99 per month, it’s possible an Apple One hike could follow, changing the value proposition across the three tiers.
Right now, as we edge nearer the end of 2025, Apple One is a solid option for Apple services fans. Just be careful not to pay for services you won’t use.
