Nvidia is on track to produce its next-generation enterprise-grade GPUs for AI training and inference, per its recent earnings call. CEO Jensen Huang confirmed that all of the components of the next-generation platform, including the Vera CPU and Rubin GPU, were at the fabrication facilities, with production expected to ramp up by the second half of 2026. The first products based on this line of hardware will launch that same year.
Although once primarily a gaming company, Nvidia is now more of an AI hardware developer. It has propelled the AI industry forward in the last few years with a drive to increase data center creation around the world, most of it powered by Nvidia’s hardware. It’s the most valuable company the world has ever seen, and millions of its top-tier GPUs are on order in various countries worldwide.
That’s all based on its current-generation Blackwell GPUs, though. While impressive, the GB300 Ultra system it recently unveiled will be a poor imitation of the next-generation Rubin hardware, which is on track to launch in 2026. Huang confirmed that alongside the GPU, the Vera CPU, CX9 SuperNIC, Spectrum-X, scale Silicon Photonics processor, and NVLINK 144 switch were all on track to enter mass production next year, according to WCCFTech.

Nvidia claimed it had learned from supply constraints with Blackwell and would offer a more robust supply chain with Rubin, which will scale better as demand rises. It will continue to sell Blackwell as a more low-cost solution once Rubin is available, and sees a future where Blackwell, Rubin, and a future next-generation design are all simultaneously available, fully fleshing out the Nvidia product stack for enterprises interested in AI hardware for training and inference.
During the call, Nvidia posted total revenue for Q2 2025 of over $46 billion, $41 billion of which came from its data center business. Gaming revenue has ticked up, though, rising significantly after falling at the end of last year as everyone waited for the new RTX 50-series GPUs.
This highlights, however, that even with a big jump in gaming revenue, it’s still less than 10% of Nvidia’s overall business. Although it would be great to see Nvidia compete more in the gaming space, it’s clear where its focus lies as the dollars keep pouring in.
