Title: It works great !!
Review: I’ve used this several times now to charge a Chevy Bolt at Tesla superchargers. It works great! There’s a little release button, so look for that to get it unhooded from the NACS.

Title: Great quality – works well to fast charge CCS car on Tesla Supercharger
Review: Works great – used to connect 2017 Chevy Bolt to Tesla L2 Supercharger with no issues.Seems very solidly built, good value for the money. Has latches for both ends of the adapter (car to adapter is like a standard J1772 or CCS latch; adapter to Tesla charger cable has a hidden locking latch underneath the adapter). Includes a nice fitted/padded zip up case. You will need to create/use the Tesla app to access the Tesla Superchargers and have a compatible vehicle with a CCS port (J1772 with the additional two big DC connectors below it). Charge speed will likely be limited by your vehicle, but my 2017 Bolt pulled 53kW from the supercharger (I believe GM rated it for 50kW, wouldn’t be surprised if the additional 3kW is attributable to a 94% efficient vehicle charge management system). The adapter did not get warm in the slightest at 53kW.Note you will need to use the Tesla app to find suitable chargers (you can filter for magicjack and/or CCS compatible with adapter). most of the newer superchargers are compatible. Don’t believe it will work with standard L2 (AC only) Tesla chargers but I didn’t attempt that.

Title: Gets hot and won’t charge
Review: Got this for my fiancés R1T and it worked good the first 2 times we used it. Then the third time it was charging at 208 kWh (like it was the first 2 times) and came up with this warning so I moved to a diff stall and it came up again. A week later I go to a different Tesla charger and it came up with same warning only going at 140kwh. I feel maybe we just got a faulty one cuz all the other reviews look like it works well but I keep having the same issue regardless of which charging station or stall! Will be returning unfortunately.

Title: Works, but limits charging
Review: I got this to use with my Rivian R1S. Up front, you need to know that these (i.e. third-party) adapters are not approved for use with Tesla Superchargers. At the time I’m writing this, only the Tesla-manufactured adapter is approved. Ford & Rivian owners are getting these adapters for free, but they are trickling out slowly since the CEO in charge of this is more interested in losing billions on X. There are two other third-party adapters that I know of and they are about the same price as this AOVEE adapter. Of course, no one is enforcing this since charging stations are not manned so there is no one to tell you to stop.I pulled into a Tesla Supercharger (SC) on a partly cloudy day. The outside temperature was 81 F. All the equipment was about the same temperature. My R1S was at 26% state of charge (SOC).I plugged into the SC using the adapter and it started charging after a short time. The initial charging rate was 205 kW, but it quickly throttled the rate down to about 180 kW. The Rivian displayed a “Limited by charging station” message. Unfortunately, that’s all the info it displayed. I suspect that the temperature was getting too high, but the adapter didn’t get that hot. After 5 minutes of charging I took the temp of the SC’s cable and handle and the adapter itself:Power: 180 kW (limited by station)Adapter: 85 FCable: 115 F (in direct sunlight)Handle: 125 F (in direct sunlight)After 10 minutes of charging, the adapter has warmed up a bit:Power: 150 kW (limited by station)Adapter: 90-100 FCable: 115 F (in direct sunlight)Handle: 125 F (in direct sunlight)After 15 minutes of charging:Power: 157 kW (limited by station)Adapter: 100-105 FCable: 125 F (in direct sunlight)Handle: 131 F (in direct sunlight)After 20 minutes of charging, the “Limited by station” notification was gone:Power: 151 kWAdapter: 106-114 FCable: 109 F (in shade)Handle: 130 F (in shade)After 20 minutes, the charging rate steadily decreases (as it should) and the temperatures don’t change much. The sun/shade causes more fluctuation than the changes in power. The session ended at 80% SOC and took 33 minutes. Probably would have been 5-10 minutes quicker if the power hadn’t been limited in the first 15 minutes.Immediately after the charging stopped, I unplugged and measured the temperature of the big, DC pins: 140 F. I suspect that is close to the top of the range for the internal temperature.Despite the throttling, this is a better experience than I usually have at Electrify America stations. Even with their 350 kW chargers I usually am lucky to get 150 kW at the start.I give this adapter 4.5 stars.
