Title: Works great in 2023 Tesla Y
Review: I will say that that is, in my opinion, the best way to add Apple Carplay (or Android Auto) to a Tesla. Product came packaged well, with all cables and tools in the box. Some buyers stated that they got missing parts so most likely they got a return unit that someone returned with missing parts and Amazon (or the seller) didn’t catch it. In that case return and repurchase as installation will be impossible even with one thing missing.Installation was pretty easy if you follow the video on the product page. However, the holes #s they say to secure the unit through, in my experience, are too far to the right. I had to remount the unit about 60mm to the left. Use the cutout in the trim for the steering wheel in that panel to center the unit. Even in the very center I had to move my steering wheel up a bit to see the screen mostly unobstructed. In the hindsight I would buy the 9″ model rather than 10″. Even perfectly spaced the steering wheel tends to block upper corners, but that’s a very minor issue for me. My Tesla has AMD instead of Intel (Google search how to tell which one you have, it’s easy). There are two plugs that you going to connect to your Tesla, small one that you remove and plug back into the splice piece and bigger one that in my car there was nothing plugged into it. There are three connectors on the unit and I only used blue and red one. Not sure what the yellow one is for but that one is not used. The unit came with a little riser (?) for diverting airflow that otherwise the unit blocks but for the life of me I couldn’t figure it out how to install it. There is no mention of it in the manual or videos. Upon connection the unit fired right up and was ready for configuration. Connect to wifi first and see if there are any updates. Once the updates are done turn the wifi off on the unit before connecting to Carplay as two of them don’t work at the same time. Configure settings to your liking, there isn’t too many of them and the manual does a good job of explaining them, in usual Chinese English kind of way, but totally understandable. The unit will initially show the distance in kms but upon the first drive it will auto switch to the miles. There is a one screen that I think may show some camera footage but in Tesla it shows “No Signal”, it’s kinds useless. You can turn that screen off in the settings. Once I got everything button back together, I remove the plastic screen protector which ended up leaving a glue residue around edges of the screen, but it was really easy to remove with just a finger scrubbing it off.Daytime use, screen seems a bit blue in color in comparison to the main center screen. Wish there was a setting in the unit for color warmth to adjust that. Carplay works for me flawlessly so far. It may take a few seconds to connect to the car upon entering but I don’t even notice. Nighttime use, the unit matches perfectly to the main unit. One nice feature that no one mention yet is that even in the carplay mode the edges will flash orange when there is someone in the blind spot as you drive. On the car info screen the unit pretty much mirrors the main screen without any lag whatsoever, with addition of total mileage of the car. Things that are not working (I hope “yet”) are that there is no brake lights actuation shown, and it shows usage/recovery energy bar but it only shows usage and no recovery (no green bar). It’s most likely going to be addressed with future updates. Screen is a little reflective in sunny situations so I’m going to search for non-glare screen protector that I can install on it.Overall, I think adding this to your Tesla is worth the money and time. All minor gripes aside, I am very satisfied with this purchase. I’m hoping this unit will last a long time and will report here accordingly. Not sure why there are some negative reviews but I’m sure those issues stem from problems on the user end with either botched installation, wifi issues, or phone issues. I had zero problems getting it to work.Update 5/6/25 – Unit has been flowless performer. Always on when I get into the car. This morning, after Tesla update 2025.14.3.1 the unit seemed to be off, no power, nothing on display. Without a choice I drove away. After about 10 minutes I noticed the orange blind spot bar show up at the edge of the screen and slowly the unit came back to life. Afterwards it worked perfect once again. I definitely saw some lag as it came back for about 30 seconds before resuming full function. Not sure of the exact cause, most likely the update, but I’m very glad it is back. Having Waze once again is a must!

Review: I just installed it 3 hours ago. There’s a bug where after reversing then switching to drive, it’ll say no connection. Scrolling down on right steering wheel control seems to fix it.

Review: Great product and works well as a dash screen for your Tesla. Installation is not so easy, especially fishing the harness through the panels and the hardest part is connecting the harness to the computer module, due to very little room for movement and tight space. Nice screen, brightness and quality is good.

Title: 2018 Tesla Model 3 Long Range
Review: Please beware this item does not include the correct wiring system for the 2018 Tesla Model 3 Long Range. In that specific vehicle the blue connection (power) is on the driver’s side and the white connection on the passenger side. That being said neither wiring harness intel or AMD is correct. I ended up returning this item 3 days after delivery. Wasted hours following the instruction booklet which will not help you with the install for the above mentioned vehicle.

L’HUD è altamente personalizzabile, permettendomi di scegliere quali informazioni visualizzare e come. La sincronizzazione con il mio iPhone tramite CarPlay è stata immediata. Le mappe, le chiamate e i messaggi vengono visualizzati direttamente sull’HUD, rendendo la guida ancora più sicura e comoda. L’HUD sembra robusto e ben costruito.
