The entire honeycomb structure is packed with carbon, which you can clearly see in the photos. The more carbon, the better the filter’s absorption capabilities, and this one does not disappoint. Title: Highland Model 3 Installation Issues
Review: I recently installed these filters in a 2024 Highland Model 3. The filters look good and don’t appear to have affected the car’s ventilation performance. A HEPA 14 rating is higher than other products. I installed them because I’m hoping they will reduce pollen issues next year. The filters fit well; however, the loop on the filter is a fabric material – not the stiff material of the original. It is easy to catch the loop of the bottom filter in the filter door.Tesla classifies its Model 3 cabin filters as user replaceable. They provide online directions for replacement.WARNING – this information has not been updated to reflect the significant changes that have been to the Highland under-glovebox design. There are no videos that provide this. The older replacement tools no longer work. The Highland has a two part under panel that attaches with 2 8mm bolts per side. There appear to have been sealed in a way that requires significant strength to break free. Don’t attempt to do this replacement unless you are willing to do this ‘blind’. Neither the Tesla directions nor the tools and directions that come with the filters work for the Highland Model 3.
