The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) at Leidos currently has an opening for a Hardware Engineer Intern to support programs in San Diego, CA with opportunities for a motivated candidate to lead tasks and/or efforts. Bring your experience and knowledge of hardware design to support activities throughout the entire hardware design lifecycle to include post-fabrication integration and test. More broadly, you will advance the state of the art in research and advanced applications to support ongoing and future programs in the areas of Electronic Attack, Electronic Protection, and Electronic Support. You’ll also get to work alongside scientists and field experts in these fields to help grow your own knowledge and career.Primary ResponsibilitiesWork in small teams or individually to achieve program successCommunicate results in briefings and written material to team and management as appropriateTake direction from Team or Task LeadContribute to design, integration and test of SoCsAnalyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trendsPlan and perform analytical and engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications.Basic QualificationsMust be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearanceMust be enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field, and have completed at least 1 year of curriculum with a minimum 3.0 GPAExperience with Matlab and C++Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areasPreferred QualificationsActive Secret or higher-level clearanceAnalytical skills and experience in the areas of adaptive filter theory, spectral estimation, detection and estimation theory, linear algebra, and/or stochastic processesAcademic projects focused on application of modeling and simulation (M&S), radar, adaptive radar, signals processing, algorithm development synthetic aperture radar (SAR) or similar fieldsPay Range: Pay Range $44,850.00 – $81,075.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
Expected salary: $44850 – 81075 per year
