The best description of the destruction in a John Wu film I've ever heard is "A 100 page book exploding into 200 loose sheets of paper" Its pure chaos, and gets across the chaos of a gunfight, without explicitly showing people getting shot. Now, of course, you still get those shots of people flying back from bullet wounds, but its the enviroment that make the style work. Anyone can make a game where you shoot dudes and they die, but it takes much more effort to make a game that conveys chaos of a shootout
You're right, that filter isn't cel-shading. That said, the original game isn't actually cel-shaded either (save for the cutscenes), but the filter still fails at capturing both the look and feel of the original.
So, GunGrave Definitive Edition just released! Gonna review it on the switch? A lot of NEW characters, New improved Combo System, even more DLC characters.
Gungrave OD must’ve been the length of the original at first. Because it just feels padded as fuck
I recall beating Gungrave OD on very hard difficulty for all 3 characters when it came out on PS2. I think mastering strafe shooting is the main way to get through the difficult sections you had.
And now we are getting a Nintendo switch version! Gungrave never dies and I love it! Great video thanks for this
Gungrave G.O.R.E was just so blatantly unfinished I couldn’t do it. The investors definitely made the “get this the fuck out the door, we’re not giving you anymore time” call. It’s not a case of the reviewers “just not getting it”, it’s not good. There’s better games that capture that PS2 action feel that are actually worth your money like Evil West.
We need more Gungrave. This series is the stuff of legends.
i disagree with your take on what normal people would think about gungrave gore. it looks arcadey, looks fun. i think a lot of ppl will enjoy it.
I don't remember that terrible chopping that you are suffering from in my official copy, ghosting, yes but not that sluggish lag. I started with overdose and went back to buy part 1 and felt part 1 was too dark and clunky compared to overdose
power up stats should been pick ups scatter around the stages instead of stuff you buy.
Kanbane is usually braking something in the room so it plays a sound effect before he talks because of how low patience he is. I thought Overdose played worse, but overall was campy asf and still over the top bleeds cool ideas. Color me a masochist, and being a sucker for punishment, but as much as I loved Gungrave 1, Overdose tickled my adhd for trying for a "coolest" moment because it fills your deathshot so fast that you can fill the screen with nonsensical retard hallucinations of hyper violence. It was cash.
PS, Never auto aim. unless full auto to only build meter and breathe. Molest your thumb with the struggle and bathe in the post level digit rub of victory. …oh yeah, homie. GORE is tight asf. Its a def a Gungrave game.
easiest way i know how to deal with bunji is to chase him behind that pillar with the dodege forward towards him the entier time and to keep an constant lock on
did I have a different version of this game because I mine didn't run this bad it wasn't that hard either I only died a few times during the whole playthrough
What I got from this video is that the only Gungrave worth my time is the first.
@41:30 it's funny how us gamers usually all have to accept at some point that it's ok to not finish a game lol. like youre not failing or something
I was going to say what did you mean that Gore has no sound effects, you played the melees and they all went BOOM then I realize its a console issue, sounds like the real problem is PS5 gimmick shoehorning not game design.
Your fans want you to finish the yugioh series. Your most popular videos have been the yugioh ones, you can’t just leave us high and dry
WTF I'm finding some very good commentary channels lately.
Highly detailed commentary about ps2 era games, hack and slash gameplays and a lot of well timed swearing?
+1 subscriber bro
Hey cvit…. I uhhhh just wanted to let you know…. That the show was before the cards. You see, that’s the reason why the cards are different in the show. I’m not sure if you knew this because you NEVER said you did.
Hey Cvit! Would u be continuing your yakuza retrospective?
I genuinely will never understand your opinion on Gungrave vs Gungrave Overdose and I wanna explain why if you'll hear me out.
"Fixing what isn't broken" feels like a statement I cannot agree with, to me Overdose fixed everything wrong with the first Gungrave.
The first game was too short and the boss fights in it's late game were too frustrating, meanwhile Overdose is a better length overall and none of it's bosses were frustrating when compared to the original.
Only thing I can agree on is that I do think Overdose's beginning tutorial was stupidly hand holdy but outside of that, everything was more fun for me then it was in the original game.
never heard of Gungrave until Gore
It's pretty funny, I always considered gungrave as a no more heroes with guns (more on the gameplay side of things) and even their progression from 1-2-3 is similar
1-Hey this is pretty cool
2-Wow this fucking sucks
3-Hey this is pretty cool/the worst game ever
You should play Silent Hill Home coming a.k.a SH god of war version
loved the gungrave anime. hated trigun. had no idea they were the same guy.
very intolerant of fat people of you to assume you could be full after a small meal
I'll save everyone an hour and a half of your life by saying they all suck. They all were substandard upon release, literally all of them. Nothing else to say about these games.
Bruh need that yugioh video
I think its about time I gave up on you ever making another yugioh video
Your vids convinced me to get a modded PS2 and get into "3rd person action" games, good stuff
Will there be more of the yugioh videos
