the one thing i felt that would’ve made this game instantly 3x better is if the cutscenes were completely seamless .
I wish there was more Na’vi music playing during each play through
the game was interesting upuntill geting the ikar,, The mechanic of flight is so dry, and disconected from physics, it breaks ilusion of flight, to a point where i enjoy walking more then flying, Flying should be more physicly accurate, it was imposbile to crash, i was disapointed becase it has broken the illusion of the world, also pandora seamed empty, , it was hard to observe large groups of animals, and interactions of these animals, i give the game 7/10 for the environment plants
Has anyone figured out how to successfully map "walk forward" to the right mouse button? How can the developers screw something this simple up?
The level of care, detail, and variety in the world is one of the reasons I love open world games like this in the first place. To explore places like this is such an experience that I end up coming back to it over and over again.
I had not heard of this game until a week or two ago. I saw your review pass by and decided to give it a shot. You are completely correct in saying that the world they have crafted is next level, including the characters and sounds. While it has some tedious open world elements, you can safely ignore those if you wish. The world and story are plenty engrossing and engaging. Really made me feel like I was in the Avatar movies at times.
So some sort of colonizer simulator? 😂
I think voice acting and cutscenes are such utter shit it completely takes away from otherwise gorgeous visuals and gameplay. sigh…
After watching Rens review and several others I am very surprised anyone "recommends" this game at all.
Ubisoft beast 🗿🗿
Having near completed this game, its an actual disappointment. Game is only good for the visuals. Movement on feet sucks and lacks variety, enemies and all quests are the same. All voice lines are the same e.g bless the environment, let me use some extremely big words and 2mins to describe this blue cow. All characters and what they say just lack originality, you can predict everything they are going to say. I enjoyed the stunning visuals, but everything else was just meh.
The story is 4/10, combat 5/10, environment is 8.5/10, engagement 5/10, movement 6/10.
Would buy if 70% off, or you really want to walk around an Avatar world.
Ubisoft always makes the same game, but this might be my favorite so far.
just finishied it. it was an allright game. Plagued by game breaking bugs for me. And the last mission was beyond awful. Far cry but in avatar average at best.
You lost some credibility with me on this one… easily the worst game I have played in 5+ years. Even the main quests were boring, uninspiring, repetitive, and obnoxious quests.
Everyone says how good it looks but for me cyberpunk still looks better. Very disappointed with the stealth in this game. I though assassin screed games had the worst stealth but this tops it up 😂
Sooo this is the one game if I buy I should turn off game mode?
I liked the movies but the game was lacking in many ways.
Like no NPCs walkikg around the world. They just stand still on the spot.
No melee weaoons like a spear. No swinging from vines. No 3rd person cutscenes (I think this game would benefit from these but just my opinion), enemies are only in closed areas and cannot leave their post. You can pick them off at range with little to no threat. And not to mention how repetitive most of the quests are. Ubisoft has always had this but AFOP takes it to a hole new level. They could have made the game shorter and worked on making that better but they wanted to make it really long so people would subscribe to their service for longer.
Bro, a 3080 isn't a consumer matket priced gpu. Vwry few people can afford that.
who tf is austin and why tf should we care wtf he thinks?
Now we need a game where you play the humans wiping out the blue fucks. Might actually play that one. Hilarious seeing this game be decent and still hardly anyone play it. Get fkd. Hate this franchise for what it does to tech in order to make blue space Jesus look good.
The thing about Ubisoft games has never been that they suck, it’s that they’re all so goddamn samey 😂
My question is: will someone who doesn’t care about the Avatar IP like this?
Something I find interesting is expectations with games. Take Cyberpunk or Starfield… Wild expectations and they failed to deliver… Take Avatar, low expectations which it exceeds. Does that make Avatar a better game than Cyberpunk or Starfield? Not necessarily, but this overdelivered when others fell short. Sometimes hype can make or break games before they get going.
first time in a while i realy dissagreed with skillup. Frotiers is unpolished and shallow dawg, renn reviews spoke exactly what i thought.
This review made me loose trust in Austin as a reviewer. I fucking hated this game. And I'm someone who loves the ubisoft formula. It was my first fail of a buy since the launch of the PS5.
Only good thing, graphics, and the fucking aresome audio. They need to bring this audio tech to every future game.
I have a fair amount of frame drops on my xbox. I dont usually notice these things
Never played Far Cry before. I think ill give it a try
Austin = 1440p
Skillup = 1080p…
The only regret is this game is not a third person game.
Villain disappears after the intro and doesnt show up in any substantive capacity until the end… Classic ubisoft first person RPG moment
Austin fellow Avatar enjoyer confirmed
I have a hard job…and this game literally is more tedious and fatiguing than working… every mechanic is clunky and annoying, from the hacking till the map with no way to zoom, till the crafting and literally every menu. Even aiming is so clunky its just easier to play melle only .No quest markers in a game this big means you jump around like a headless chicken for hrs to find where you need to go…whoever thought this is entertaining at 2023 needs to check his reality. Wonderful graphics and sounds but thats it. Should be only a tech demo. 0.5/5 for me. Avoid like the plague
Nice Zoolander reference lol
using a controller? how is the mouse and keyboard support?
It be cool if they add a humanity dlc and fight against the Navi
Love yall but gotta get an AMD gpu in one of your test rigs
see my computer runs this smoothly on ultra settings, i have no idea what it's specs are just brought the thing from a computer joint
Is there knives or axes like jake had?
