Responsibilities
- Set clear team goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives, conduct performance reviews, and foster professional development
- Prioritize and manage data engineering projects to meet business needs and deadlines, overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines
- Manage data warehousing, processing, and extraction processes, ensuring high standards of data quality and integrity
- Integrate new data technologies and software engineering tools, providing technical guidance on complex challenges, and ensuring stability and scalability of the data infrastructure
- Demonstrate proficiency in relevant technologies and continuously seek improvements to data processes and systems for enhanced efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or similar STEM field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in data engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role
- Extensive experience following End to End Agile Development Lifecycle
- Strong technical background in Python, Databricks, AWS services, Alation, Airflow, and SQL
- Experience with various data ingestion patterns, such as RESTful APIs, SQL, flat-file, and Data Streams
- Extensive experience aligning data from disparate sources with varying granularity and CI/CD best practices
- Extensive experience with handling large data sets, high performance computing, building high performance solutions, and data integration projects
- Extensive experience with integration testing and automation using a continuous integration platform such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Bamboo
