Gotta be honest I didn’t expect this video to blow up like this LOOOOOOOOOOL. Expected about maybe 300’ish views at best being a small channel.
I loved both of these games. The Dead Space Remake was amazing, and although the Callisto Protocol wasn't quite as good, I still thoroughly enjoyed it, and as soon as I finished it, played through it again.
I literally turned off her review after the dead space comparison too and went back later 😂😂😂😂
This game deserves way more love. I'm having a blast playing it so far.
hope she sees this
I need to understand this: how do you expect a game about escaping as a main objective not being LINEAR? Dead Space 2 did this because it understood its setting. Callisto did understand its setting too, but most reviewers don't understand that a biggest scope is not always a better choice for game design.
For idiots like them, the first Alan Wake took more time to make than it should: they considered it as Open World experience, they even left some features out there that have no more palpable sense of place than "here is a vehicle and a big map, have fun driving". Game messed the pacing of its gameplay thank to those idiots gta suckers.
Great video. The Mason Scale is a great channel for indie horror games
varry under rated game
This game is good its annoying people complain about it i know its not perfect but the combat is decent and just like re4 remake if u can master the mechanics your gonna have a fun time 😎
I played dead space earlier this year and now Callisto. I personally think the level design in Callisto is better and is more suited to my taste in a traditional survival horror game. My personal opinion with the mainstream YouTube community is they always go with hype. I’m learning to go in the opposite direction. I’ve been progressing really far into Callisto Protocol and I really love it.
I know it was only like 3 seconds of the video but I agree fully synthetic man is fucking garbage, if he didn’t have the weirdo right wing shit to lean on to keep his “audience” “happy”. It’s weird and I don’t get it but he obviously like, hates video games lol, like all of them. Idk it’s bizarre. He still uses the word woke unironically as if it’s a real thing to actually be concerned about.
Loved the game, badass protagonist, no cringy dialogue like most games now, loved beating the enemies over the head with the baton, and shooting their limbs off, all the guns are badass, graphics are great, only thing annoying was the final boss, tempted to play ng+ and try and get the maximum difficulty trophy
I appreciate a positive review for the game I bought it on sale and enjoyed it enough to buy the DLC. In comparison I stopped played the Dead Space remake 3/4ths of the way through, and that's on game pass.
I have played the game recently and that graphic glitch is still there.
The game is a bastante from the past with a lot of similarities to a lot of games. I have enjoyed this game a lot. I only regret that I didn't get it before to support the developers. I won't listen to reviews out there anymore.
What “Light” suzi is talking about? The game was dark… disturbing and horrific. Not to mention the amazing graphics. I truly loved Callisto ❤❤
Great video. Thanks for sharing
I never had the issue with the log playing. I picked them up and automatically it plays while i continue with my day
"Dead Space = RE4 but in space" a direct quote from Glen Schofield. Easy to lookup this interview & realize his main inspiration was Resident Evil 4, so how can Suzi & others be so ignorant? Purposely…For clicks & views.
I get this weird feeling that the callisto protocol is going to be a game 20 years down the line will be on people's hidden gem lists
People put this game in such a high pedestal that they didn't really give it a chance to stand on its own 2 feet
This video needs to get popular dude, people need to know that underrated games like callisto, the evil within and resident evil 5 deserves a second chance. people just keeps trashing on games immediately when someone says something bad about them And when their opinion gets popular everybody would be doing the same thing by making a comment or video talking dumb things about the game with (like what you said) copy and pasted reviews to either gain praise or views and likes. And gatekeep people who would actually love games like callisto. The sphere hunter's take on the callisto protocol clearly makes it clear that not all game reviewers are telling the truth. I played the game for myself just to see how bad the game really is and was actually expecting to be disappointed only to end up loving it
I absolutely agree with what you said about Dead space games' similarity to Callisto and how the people who dont get the similarity between dead space and Callisto dislikes the game. a week ago I was thinking about buying the game but I don't want to waste any money so I checked out some game reviews and they all sound the same "the combat is a chore" "the combat is boring" "the game is not fun" and when I saw angry Joe's review of the game i was shocked by his verdict. giving the game a 3/10 and I thought it was ridiculous as hell. And when I checked his review of dead space and learned that he did not play the original dead space, I was like "no wonder why he disliked the Callisto protocol" Heck, even in Critical's Callisto protocol game review he gave the game at least a 60% rating on the moist meter and I was all like screw it. I'll take my chances I'll buy the game. And guess what? I absolutely LOVE the game! I've never had this much fun since dead space and man oh man the graphics and environment and atmosphere is so darn beautiful! The Callisto protocol's Story has potential and hopefully they make a sequel despite the game's ratings by people who misunderstood the game.
I gave this game a chance recently due to ps plus and man i loved this game like shit played trough it twice.
I actually enjoyed this game very much , however I played on ps5 and heard it had less bugs on ps5 , but I still enjoyed it very much
I recently discovered Callisto on the PS5. Got it for free and didn’t plan on playing it because of the bad reviews. Suffice to say, after starting the game out of boredom I couldn’t put the controller down. Why in the world this game got bad reviews is beyond me. This is a fantastic game and the graphics are ridiculous.
The radio comms going through the dual sense speakers is a nice touch and also adds to the immersion.
Just got the game for free on PS plus (ps5 version) and finished it. I really enjoyed it, and personally don't do too well with survival horror games. I feel like it being linear really helped me finish it, as a bigger, more open horror world easily intimidates a player like me. The close hallways and straightforward way of combat made it very digestible. Even when I died the checkpoints are so good that I never felt a huge loss of progress, and I could work through a chapter for an hour before work, with guaranteed story progress. I plan on doing a new game+ soon but after a break lmao.
This game is awesome. Would love a part 2 but unfortunately the masses and the hate wagon took thay from us. The whole time I was playing the game I kept saying to myself. I really like this game. It's such a break from all over the open world. And sometimes we really do need a really good linear game
Meh, if its about trashing other persons perspectives, not gonna go further tge 3min 30 sec.
not suprised the capshill and scrub fake RE player to get everything wrong about a solid game thats not. MY shity horror game cause i got no skill and am superfical surface level normie but got lucky channel prick. and some how cpacom gave that prick a SFD code whilst even admitting to not being a real capcom fan by not only not playing sf series competently enoughf to true review but not at least being master rank like myself. its the doom review all over again. yea as ya ll can tell im not a fan of that prick.
Great take! Really didn't understand the amount of hate it got. I loved the game, albeit it has flaws, hope we see a sequel.
Who still calls bro Jacob Lee? That's JACOB MOTHERFUKIN CALLISTO
This game was good. The combat is something I enjoyed, but it did had some issues but this game was still fun.
Anyone listening to deceptacon traps like sphere hunter for anything other than a lol is a fool
Such an underrated channel, the common sense is very refreshing
I don't pre-order games these days but TCP I bought for PS5 and SX, loved it, it had it's issues but the pros far outweigh the cons, ngl I was disappointed with the SP but they delivered more single player content so I'm happy with it, the woman on it being "light" just means she played on story mode and still found it difficult, I want my games to last and I want to be challenged, what's the bloody point otherwise, there definitely should be easier options for older gamers or disabled gamers but we need to be catered to as well, I think if we get TCP2 every issue will be fixed, they are just mad the protagonist is of a paler skin hue as was referenced repeatedly by the hactivist types at places like Kotaku and Polygon etc, I don't do woke and I certainly won't fund it, if Jacob was black or Hispanic I'd have loved it just as much but with nearly every game having those leads in games now it is refreshing, "by making the protagonist of The Callisto Protocol a cis straight white male and his jailer an ethnic minority Striking Distance made a mediocre game a poor game" quote from Polygon, I will not even point out the irony of that statement.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's stopped watching her because of her increasingly bad takes, her and skillup both have gotten worse and worse over time and its not a coincidence that the more access they get to games and events and being in the game industry the more their integrity and reliability has declined. They put dead space on some kind of pedestal like its some untouchable relic and a literary masterpiece and use that to down the callisto protocol when they're basically the same game. Don't get me wrong, dead space 1+2 are great and they do have good stories and gameplay but excluding 2 dead space 1 compared to the callisto protocol is fairly even, Isaac was silent in the 1st game so that's a strike against the way the story can develop right there. Anyway my point is that I agree with you, I don't wanna drone on and on or put down dead space to explain why I like both games
Real gamer review is different from those game reviewers lol, they rush to play games, play to rush
Bro im not Suzy the sphere hunter but i have learned so much from ur vid on how not to be dip shit when describing abt the game. Big thanks man
I really hope the team makes a sequel. Considering how the game ended at the end of the dlc.
hella late, but i remembered your gears 5 video and then i found this. i think them simps just give Suzy the confidence to say any kind of nonsense without thinking about it first
I was really excited for this game once I played cod WW2 zombies I knew Glen had his level design on point. I'm only to below but I feel it's an amazing settings super fun and accessible. I like your points about survival horror it's all about resource management and knowing when to fight and flee. Grp is super o.p. I think being able to get one hit kills on most enemies is helpful as can be. I'm excited for the dlc and riot mode haven't played but I got it!
So I'm 20 minutes in, and while I agree that calling Callisto Protocol a "3rd person shooter/beat em up" is not a fair criticism and is used mainly to deride what it offers, I do believe there's a bigger difference between the two games. While both can be easily defined as Action Horror games, I think Callisto emphasizes aggression while Dead Space emphasizes survival. From the gameplay I've seen, you can tell from the playstyle that Callisto rewards getting in the enemies face and actually combating them while Dead Space, while full of various weapons, is used more defensively to secure a point, and once it's overrun, you run away for survival.
Granted, I have not played Callisto Protocol, and I've only seen 20 minutes of an almost 2 hour video. Just giving my 2 cents. Been an enjoyable watch so far.
THANK YOU. Suzy review was absolute pig shit.
It has the potential to be the successor to dead space but lacks serious polish. I enjoyed the game and the art direction hits hard. I wish they the took time to develop the combat fully because it’s not made for you to take on more than one enemy at a time and there’s times where you just get ganked by a group of them so often then not you end up repeating sections of the game because of it and I’ve experienced miss inputs where I’m holding down the analog stick in one direction to dodge but actually blocks or does nothing and no one has touched on it which I find strange…..and those bloodworms and parasites just felt like I was getting trolled all the time from a distance 🙄 like here we go again and they did Elias dirty with the entire scene building up to his death then Dani turns up rips his implant out and walks off 😐 with no emotional pay off or flashbacks to develop his backstory further, I find that a huge missed opportunity to develop characters in this game……as much as I find a lot of faults with this game it still a good game at heart
TheSphereHunter sucks.
