Nintendo fans have made a mock-up of what the Switch 2 could look like using the recent leaks and compared the upcoming console’s size to the Steam Deck.
While Nintendo has shared very little official information about its upcoming console, plenty of leaks surrounding the Switch 2 have been circulating over the past couple of weeks.
First, it started with online leaks revealing new features of the Switch 2 and its magnetic Joy-Cons. Then, yesterday, Nintendo fans used shipping data to find out more about the Switch 2’s parts and components.
These leaks have now been substantial enough for Nintendo fans to make a scale mock-up image of the Switch 2 to compare its size to the Steam Deck and original Switch.
Switch 2 Size Mock-Up Compared to Switch & Steam Deck
Centro Leaks shared an accurately-sized mock-up of the Switch 2 created by Famiboards user mjayer.
This mock-up, based on the leaked dimensions of parts, gives gamers a great idea of how big the Switch 2 will be compared to its predecessor and the Steam Deck. However, it does not include the exact dimensions of the console.
As you can see from the image, the Switch 2 will be slightly larger than the original Switch. However, it won’t be quite as big as the Steam Deck.
Additionally, this mock-up shows the 8-inch screen and slightly bigger Joy-Cons from the leaks.
It’s also worth noting that while the concept image has bright-colored buttons, this is just creative license. Even though we’d like to see bright buttons similar to the New 3DS, there’s been nothing to suggest this yet.
Until Nintendo officially unveils its next console, fan-made mock-ups will have to suffice. However, at least Nintendo has confirmed that it’ll reveal its next console within the next year!
