Tell me how you guys feel about Cyberspace, are you excited or worried?
I was disappointed with the cyberspace stages because you only get to be in the world for like only a minute or so and I realized while playing all the stage were short and I was looking forward on playing it but it felt like Sega destroyed Sonic. Going back playing Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 those were classic great games as I enjoyed exploring each level.
The Werehog levels I hated in Sonic Unleashed I also hated the combat for the Werehog the concept seemed cool but man those levels were way too extreme and therefore I hated them
I hope the level design is closer to unleashed and gen but colors stages are decent at best but still really hope it's the ladder though especially unleashed
Combat from frontiers goes to far and it isn't sonic anymore. I hate sonic frontiers, even though it looks so awesome. It's the simple fact that I think that this is not what sonic was meant to be.
Since when does IGN people know anything about Sonic?
This might be better than sonic unleashed and generations
This sounds like a true masterpiece
let's hope they bring back at least returning zones but NOT from generations.
i'd love to see marble zone in a modern 3D style.
the ruins and the lava would look amazing.
At least the chaos emeralds are back
I fail to understand how after 6 trailers we still don’t know the actual structure
"Kind of like a sky temple". Literally everyone else: You mean sky sanctuary. 😐
A little frustrated that they're re-using level themes, but if they clearly separate 2D and 3D, I'll be pretty happy. I'm fine with 2D gameplay, I just don't want to switch between the two within the same level.
I am also looking forward to the Starfall Islands the most. That will be the most intriguing part to me.
So far I keep seeing that the cyberspace is the highlight of the game while the open world is a bore and mostly kills it. Lots of play testers have come out saying this in one way or another. Then there’s the issue that it’s been said that cyberspace are shorter levels of OG versions. I really hope they add something to the open world/ zone to make it more dynamic and exciting
Having the drop dash is genius, because it adds a roll ability without compromising the core gameplay of the boost formula: maintaining speed
7:42 to be fair to the guy, i think there were wisps in Generations on the Planet Wisp stage (which was originally a Sonic Colors stage) but yeah I agree, overall I don't think dude knew what he was talking about lol smh
i'm a sonic veteran but a new youtuber. i made a video about the sonic 3 music in sonic origins. where do i post it to get eyes on it?
Love your videos a lot 🙂 But never trust IGN! They said "Sonic was never good" I don't know why SEGA let them play the demo? Are they trying to hurt Sonic's marketing again? :/
0:18 the beginning of June? No he said in the middle of may
I wish for a kingdom valley cyberspace level. Really underrated stage
Also yall have to remember the secret stages they usually have in sonic games
I’m glad they’re short, I am coming to this game for the open world and melee. It’s a combination I’ve wanted to see in a Sonic game for decades.
I just don't get how sm ppl defend reused levels
I'm kinda bummed about Green Hill Zone being a Cyberspace stage. Like it would have been awesome if they did a Mushroom Hill Zone, or Ocean Palace, maybe Palmtree Panic Cyberspace stage. I like Green Hill but why not have some variety?
Sounds like they’re making all the wrong moves.
The idea of including cyberspace stages is awesome, so it is basically a game within a game, I hope it ends up fun to play, this game has a huge potential and I really hope that they make a chap garden or something similar because it an open world and this little thing can boost the playing hours and keep you coming back to the game after finishing all the puzzles and combats. I am super excited for this game as I don’t like modern Sonic games that much, and I enjoy doing puzzles, combat and speedy quests more than holding the boost button
By definition every game has Momentum: "The quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as a product of its mass and velocity."
I surprised that dude said shit after what happened on twitter
6:50–7:05 he didn’t understand what the person was asking like at all 😓. Like…I get it if he wasn’t allowed to talk about it and shit like that, but saying “there’s no wisps” makes people even more confused, just because there are no wisps, doesn’t mean a lot if I’m being honest 😒.
It mostly means we’re playing a regular sonic game before sonic colors, unleashed, and generation even came to exist.
Also, wisps wasn’t just in sonic colors, it was also in sonic the lost world, sonic generation if you’re playing as modern sonic, sonic forces as our OC when he uses the weapons, and lastly the remake of sonic colors.
I hope these so called “missions” aren’t easy I at least want a challenge when I do missions in a sonic game 😓
I find it definitely frustrating that they are reusing levels but hopefully it's just aesthetics and they genuinely go out of their way to make great level design.
Fucking forces all over again, short but in the distance there's potential… That is 'out' of fucking 'bounds'
I'm just happy we're getting a new open world sonic game, idc about re-used levels & all that. I'm grateful at the end of the day.
bro can we please drop the green hill and chemical plant stages i want new stuff new stages new music yk not the same places
Hi Mat. Recently technoblade (a minecraft youtuber) passed away from cancer. He was a great hilarious guy, and brought happiness into a lot of peoples live, mine included. Someone on reddit just started a movement because of it. We're reaching out to every creator possible, big or small, to start a fundraiser for cancer cure research. Please help us honor technoblade.
Stopping on rails was really annoying honestly
That guy never said you could tackle anything in any order, he just said you were free to explore and open up the map. The story progression he described sounds as linear as it gets. A specific location to go to, no choices.
The real question is if this IGN guy played in the action mode or high speed mode. Cause its been said that you can choose between them in the beginning and it works like difficulty, action mode is for newbies while speed mode is for Sonic veterans. Maybe Speed mode has some more momentum unlocked or something. Like in the racing games with optional assist modes etc.
Imo Sonic Forces level design was decent, what ruined the fun were the controls and physics. Sonic was just too heavy and controlling him felt the worst of all the boosting games.
I also dislike heavy jump and double jump from Colors. Generations didn't need double jump cause jumping felt way better and more precise.
In both Colors and Forces is like they are fixing bad controls with additional double jump instead of controls itself.
sonic colors wasnt that good but pop off ig
