I just threw bomb and fire arrows and it worked for me
Tips for people stuck on waterblight: get atleast 13 shock arrows for the fight. Then immediately lock on him with your shield. he will either do 1 of 2 attacks to start, the spear jab and the spear sweep. For the jab simply jump when he jabs you, it may sound weird but it does work you wont take any damage. For the sweep backflip so you get the flurryrush. And rinse and repeat until 2nd phase. First thing to do is to get on a platform. Then wait for him to do the ice block thing, use cryonis to brake them. After you break them use your shock arrows to shoot his eye. Repeat until you beat him. 😊
What is with this pussy ass gameplay
I remember Waterblight Ganon was the first blight I fought. At the very start of the fight, right after Mipha says the spear has long reach, Waterblight used its spear thrust attack and I accidently last second dodged. The slow motion effect with the water splashing created such an incredibly cool feeling for this fight. I'll always remember it fondly.

I killed it like after 46 seconds because i got a timer. All i did was spamming many bomb arrows
currently struggling to beat waterblight and have died many times its currently 12pm so im going to sleep on this and try again tomoorow
This boss was surprisingly easy, I honestly thought the lynel before him was a pain in the ass though, it took me countless tries until I finally figured him out.
Having the master sword makes this guy cake.
Why
I'm currently on my first playthrough. This is the first of the Blight Ganon's I have faced so far. I took it down on my first attempt.
I used Shock Arrows to chip away at half of it's health. Then switched to Bomb Arrows. I finished the fight quite quickly.
