Thanks Steve. This on PS plus. Going to give it a go. The motor and cognitive will definitely help.
Did you roll credits on this game?

I was just gonna watch someone play this because j did NOT expect this game to have accessability. This is great because I was unbelievably stoked for this game as a fan of the first two Dead Space games that I could play when I had more vision.
The auto-dodge accessibility option works wonders for me, it allows me to just hold the left stick in one direction without having to alternate left to right. I was holding off on buying this until confirmation on accessibility option, I'm about 5 hours in and really enjoying it. I read somewhere that the people doing the Dead Space Remake are really focusing on accessibility, so happy to hear that.
I'm surprised they have it in this game as well!. Though it's not my cup of tea. Too much melee and traditional zombie combat, (needs a magazine to shoot the fat ones so you are forced to go hands on, and I think that will burn me out.
High contrast mode is a blessing for those with very low vision. I think I'm a bit in the middle. I have a visual impairment too but I still see quite well from close up, but because I've got nystagmus and only see through one eye I lose focus a lot. So the high contrast setting would work well. However I think they need to improve on that concept a bit. Add an option to make it look a bit translucent so you also see the true texture colors from the enemies with a colored hue (out line) around it. I hope ppl don't take this the wrong way but I think the full opaque high contrast mode kinda takes you out of the atmosphere to be honest.
If they had an extra option (slider) to make the color half transparent with an thick outline (a bit like in left 4 dead) , then it doesn't take you so much out of the world.
Thanks for sharing Steve! I didn't know this game had accesibility features! It looks like the industry is finnaly making it a regular thing! I'm so happy!
That's so cool! I wasn't expecting this game to gave accessibility option!
As a low vision player, I struggle a lot with navegation though. So it might still be hard for me to play it, but the high contrast mode can make me buy the game just to try.
