Imagine working on the same game for the last ten years. They're burnt out, I'm not surprised that they're trying to branch out. I think as fans of Bungie (even if not liking their current treatment of D2) that we should support them if their new projects are good. I actually think that it's ok, that Destiny 2 is a casual game. It's a power fantasy game that makes you feel like god. A lot of people would leave the game if they lose that feeling. I love a challenge, I love hardcore raids, operations etc. But maybe not in Destiny. I would prefer more storytelling and RPG elements in Destiny. Not every game needs to be hard.
I can't wait for this age of people working a job to pass and the passionate people come back to set things right

Destiny is constantly changing stuff to the point it feels like a constant beta. I’ve never known an mmo to change its content , how it’s farmed and how it works mechanically so much but yet the game stays the exact same.

The fact they're lowering our power level below the recommended power for GMs in Lightfall (-25 power) is admittedly upsetting. I'd be fine with it if they removed champions but they're not. If there's anything that annoys players more, it's artificial difficulty.
If you want a challenge, play a game like Nioh 2 or Elden Ring. Those games aren't artificially difficult, the difficulty falls onto the player and their willingness to learn the movements of bosses and other enemies.
I definitely agree on a lot of this. Since they announced the changes my partner and I have chosen to not buy lightfall and move on from Destiny for a few seasons at least. She hasn't played the last two seasons as she watched me and had no interest in the content they gave us. Destiny was our favorite game for quite some time. Now both of us are just tempted to uninstall. We are tired of the stupid choices they keep going with. I just wish someone would make a game that takes most of the playerbase away from Destiny.
