This by far the worst mission in all breath of the wild, it’s not fun at all, it takes for forever and if you mess up you have to do it all again. trailing missions are awful.

I am currently playing this Trial. I actually made it all the way to the shrine. I go in the shrine. Get the chest and the orb! Yaaaa right. Nope…… it doesn’t clear why….. becuase I didn’t talk to that little joker when it clearly said don’t get caught….. now I’m trying to get through again just so I can get caught at the shrine.
Words can't describe how much I hate that wolf. Oakie being a camouflage is a nuisance! Why couldn't they make him a brighter colour like red or something? Just so he doesn't look the same colour as the grass. I completed it with stasis tho

is it weird i actually kind of love this quest? i did it on my second try and it was really fun using the environment to hide and having to kill some wolves halfway through

I was in a tree just chilling waiting for him to catch up and I was completely out of sight and the heart dropping kyaah a ghost line pops up and I was on the verge of tears
I went behind several trees to hide from oaki but “got lost”

my problem wasnt getting caught by him but barely being too far from the trail and going into the lost woods. i was so close but went behind a tree and that was it.
fun fact, if you throw a bomb at him and then explode it, his model will quickly glitch everywhere. Do this while you still can before you complete the quest!

Great tip to anyone who’s still stuck: let him go ahead and complete the trial, after like 5 minutes just go and follow the path in the video.
a tip for people that cant do it:
just run past oaki, youll reach the shrine eventually as long as you dont stray from the path that oaki takes
