Season 5 has some tweaks to be done for sure. but im actually super enjoying the oldschool diablo playthrough. continues 11am pst sunday.
all diablo campaigns in a row: https://www.twitch.tv/darthmicrotransaction
wholesome ☺️
Grinding hell 😅, i am tired of the angel breath and tampering material grinding 😅
which D4 team did season 5? is that the reason it's a bit "meh"?
Entire D2 in a single play through?! Wooo
ive lost all interest in D4, i play a necro, one day my character will destroy pit 31 the next day it gets completely destroyed, i dont change anything, it just feels like the game is broken or my character is nerfed, so frustrating especially after grinding for hours and hours, im going to find something else to play because this is a piss take.
Diablo 1 – along with Monkey Island 1 & 2 – has become one of my yearly Christmas games. 😌
Just gonna be honest. Diablo IV has almost reached critical mass for me. I keep getting suckered in by these social influencers telling me how the new season has fixed so many issues….and now it's super fun to play…just to get in and hit the exact same plateau I hit every single season.
And then it finally dawned on me.
I simply am not – and never will be – the kind of player/customer who finds enjoyment grinding uber bosses thousands of times over in search of that impossible drop. No disrespect to those of you that are entertained by that…cuz there's no doubt thousands of you doing it – it's just not my cup of tea.
So I finally decided to give Baldur's Gate 3 a try and have found it to be much closer to actual, old school D&D – a gaming style with much more appeal to me personally.
Yes, I'll probably try S5 when it drops – but I'm really not expecting much.
What does ptr stand for
I Played Diablo 1 when it released in Late 06' Early 97! It was My First Real Experience with Single Player RPG and First Multiplayer with My Friends. They Turned My onto D1 and I was Hooked! Nothing will Ever Replace Us Guys (Twenty-Year-Olds) Going Down to Defeat Diablo Himself the Very First Time! Played Every Iteration of Diablo Since with D2 my Fav. Loved Your D1 Play Along Video.
They make a season to get a break from seasons…
That 17 dmg face on the video lol
You don’t have to play each class, but I’d love to see you play D1 again as a Sorcerer, to really get a feel for a true grind, as well as to witness the spells of old. Sound effects for Golem and its mechanics are fantastic! Stone Curse is also great!
SUPER DOPE! I can NOT wait to see your impression of D2, forget just the Diablo franchise, my favorite game of ALL TIME! Really cool I think of you going back and playing them all
Standing in a room and fighting waves sounds like they just needed the cheapest, quickest thing they could shit out for content. Feels super lazy and incredibly uninspired.
Can you do a little review of d2 resurrected? Never played myself but always fancy picking up, also hear you on D4 got a lvl 96 necro atm and can’t be bothered to max him, was enjoying them once hitting 90 I just lost all motivation to carry on
I was working with older dudes at egghead software and one day I came in and my coworker just wouldn’t get off the demo machine playing diablo when it first came out.
Couldn't agree more my brotha! I just loaded D3 up again to run through it as like you said I don't care much for the new mechanic it was fun for a day or two but now it's just too repetitive. Looking forward to your streams though!
Immortal actually has a decent story.
Apparently we're getting Diablo himself in like 3 months or something.
5 seasons in for attack speed to finally work with WW. Insane innovation!
dave mustaines son thank u for taking the time to play s5 and sharing ur thoughts
gamer remembers what games are about. 10/10 video as usual
I remember when my dad brought d1 home and we booted it up for the first time. I was 11. That's some serious nostalgia lol. It's good to go back to the beginning and see just how things have unfolded
Can’t be as bad as season 3 😂
Where’s the innovation?
If you loved Diablo 1, then Diablo 1 The Hell 3 mod is what you need. Actually has classes and custom gear for each one. In addition to the missing quests from original game.
Thanks for the honest feedback
Make sure you go to the cow level!
Always find it odd watching grown men talking about kids games
My hopes aren't very high for any of the odd numbered seasons.
still no proper end game system
Season 5 might be the most boring yet.
I played WAY too much Diablo 2 back in the day. Incredible game!
You can play the games 1-4 campaign in sequence, but you can also play them in sequence of the lore they contain and refer to some lore vids to get context of what is happening in Diablo IP cannon as you go along. It’s pretty compelling.
Also, you start to realize why the story in d3 is kind of shit.
Treating it as a game… love the sound of that. A new game releases and it needs to be compared to other games on the market. People simply cant just enjoy a video game anymore.
It's really remarkable seeing so many hardcore ARPG and looter players getting bored with the core aspects of, like…loot and repetition and grinding…and getting far more stimulated by, like…adventure and story and the fantasy of what the game is actually about.
Look back to the past year or two of the most amazing games to come out. Very few, if any, are dedicated "looters." Games specifically made to be a generic platform for bashing millions of enemies in the fastest and most efficient way possible. They're games with fantastic writing, amazing art and atmosphere, beautiful voice acting and character work, compelling narratives and themes, things that really immerse you.
Repetitive loot systems can be satisfying and fun, but they have a pretty hard ceiling for how emotionally invested a person gets, and I've had people argue against this constantly that "looters should be about loot." Okay cool, but loot inevitably gets boring, and devs have proven to not be able to make enough to truly sate the hardest of the hardcores salivating for more loot.
"Making a good game" should be immersive and varied and provide unique experiences, not just "here's another horde mode to click through the same way you did the last million times hoping for a differently colored rarity to drop and give you that sweet sweet audio sting."
Time for a makeover bro. Looking rough as hell. 1987 called and wants you to give the hair back.
its incredible how much budget these people have access to and still create the most basic dogshit design possible. Generic number increases are just not fun, people are brainwashed into thinking big numbers=fun, its just numbers, nothing substantial and fun to play. How these people keeping their jobs is still surprising. The design team needs re-evaluation. I know I sound like a stick up the ass but paying over 100 bucks to be a beta tester sucks ass especially when they try to take more after
All the diablos are great
They keep Season 5 bad for people to feel excited playing the Expansion which will be good
Did you play Diablo: Hellfire ?
Diablo 1 was a great game made by a great team and they even allowed an outside gaming company, Sierra at the time, create the Hellfire expansion. Sadly, the original team lost a few key members before Diablo 2 and split further before Diablo 3. The main reason why so much in the gameplay changes is due to changes in staff, for better or for worse. I personally feel Diablo 1 by far had the best atmosphere, ingenuity in character mechanics and storytelling. Even after playing endless hours on Diablo 2, 3 and now 4 they always feel lacking to the original.
Diablo 5 should be an up to date Diablo 2 LOD with whatever new twist they can think of.
This is the way.
Has good potential, he key sentence in regards to D4. Too bad that’s where it ends. Even saying D4 bad has become boring. Don’t see this game ever becoming good.
I’ve been having a TON of fun!*
*not playing or even acknowledging D4 in any way outside of random comments on bad YT channels.
D2 (Non LOD) is the best version of diablo ever made. No 2 players were the same. Every single person wore items no one else had. Such an amazing game for people who like to item hunt. LOD ruined it by converting everyone into copies of eachother. Runeword items in LOD ruined the hard to find rares of D2, made them all useless, not even worth picking up.
D2 is about to be 🔥
The B team coming in with the L before S6 and the expac, which if that's a banger, I'll be skipping 7/9/11…
