2019 31st December we arrived home after a holiday but had a mild case of food poisoning so I didn’t want to do anything for NYE . I was alone and I lived in Durban, South Africa. I was sitting in my balcony having a smoke and I see this blue light flow fast towards me but stood still in the distance of the dark night sky. It seemed to have notice me. It just stayed still and took off in a split second. A few hours later my partner came back and we sat outside waiting for the new year, we look at the roof and there was an owl. We never get owls in Durban ever. Maybe in a bird park but it’s not a native species. It’s the 8th of January 2025 today and I’m watching Resident Alien and there’s an episode that shows the connected of UFO sightings linked to owl sightings. And here I am 🫠🤯

I was just sitting at work listening to this half-heartedly and he got up to the part where he talked about a four foot owl on the side of the road. I immediately remembered a moment from my childhood in 1995. I was riding a dirt bike (motorcycle) with my friend on a rural dirt road in Iowa. I was 17 and had been riding all day with no shirt on, baseball cap turned backwards like a moron kid. This event took place at like 4 pm on a Friday in summer time. It was broad daylight and we were racing down the road and I was in the lead. I was going maybe 50mph and saw what I thought was a ground hog standing on its back legs right at the edge of the road. That's what it looked like in my mind, but it was too tall, like 3-4 foot. And I was like, "Well shit, I hope it doesn't run out in front of me." and I started slowing down since I had on zero protective gear. As I got closer it started flapping these huge wings and I was like, "Oh shit it's an owl?!" And it started flying up into the air, but it was too slow getting up. I couldn't avoid hitting it and I ducked my head and I hit it with my head at probably 30mph. I was fine and I didn't wreck, but I came to a stop and this damned owl had my baseball cap in its talons. It dropped it half way into a soybean field and my friend and I had to go find it.
When I saw the owl flying it looked like a normal great horned owl with the long ears, brown in color, and normal owl size. But as I approached it, I first thought it was a groundhog, albeit way too tall, and then it spread wings and looked like a big ass owl. I've never had any memories of gray aliens, but WTF was it? Owls don't hang out in daylight, standing on the ground as far as I know. It was hot and sunny and I've never seen an owl out during the daytime, especially not out in the heat.
I've had weird owl things when I've used the Randonautica app in the past. I used it in 2020 during covid to cure boredom and saw owls multiple times when using the app to travel somewhere (live owls.)
And I'll just throw it out there, that on another night I was driving on a level B dirt road just like the owl one. These are roads that maybe two cars per week would drive down. I was driving down one of these roads at 2am in October 1996 and a friend and I saw a kangaroo hop across the road in front of us as we were driving. Not a deer, but an Australian kangaroo. In Iowa…
Another weird night time animal that's not common here that I've seen on the edge of the road at night was a Jackrabbit back in maybe 2002.. They've got big eyes and long ears. I almost thought it was another kangaroo because it looked like it was 3 feet tall. And I've never seen another one in Iowa since. I saw all this stuff sober and with a witness each time 🙂

My family in Mexico link witchcraft and brujas to owls. My uncle always tells us this story where he was abducted by one . They kept seeing orbs like fire or light that dances around them before shit happens . It’s interesting aliens, witchcraft, monsters , orbs, ufos how it all can be linked.

Danny is usually really open and subjective, as someone who has had very relatable and real experiences of this subject I found this to be a really dissatisfying interview. Danny was dismissive and on the attack the whole time. I personally had a supernatural experience with an owl that changed my life, Danny’s attitude towards this I found to be offensive
