My cat only exhibits bad behavior when I don’t let him outside or feed him in time. He looks me right in the face as he jumps up and sit in front of and blocks the television. Then he will slowly knock shit onto the floor. Then he will start scratching the furniture. lol. My cat owns my ass.
I recently acquired an outdoor cat that uses the area of my gravel driveway around where I park as his litter box. There is lots of surrounding woods that he could use. I have tried spraying the area with CatMace but it doesn't work. Would you know anything stronger I could use that might work?

My cat tried biting a plug. And I said NO firmly for the first time, I think it surprised her as I always talk to her so calmly. Since then whenever I say no, she seems to remember. I still feel guilty but it's good to know that I'm doing it right 🖤

My wife found a spray with citrus oil to spray on couches and chairs. The cats don’t like the smell and prfer the scratching posts.
The one of giving them a treat really helped. I have a new kitten and whenever I need to brush her I just call her over and then she comes and I give her a treat now whenever I try to brush her hair I always call her over with the treat.
My friends cat is so cute, but the grown-ups always hurt her cat and her cat was crying and I was not joking around

My felines do ALL the things mentioned here! It's something you just put up with if you love cats and cohabit with them. Oh, of course, you can tell your cat not to do something…just as you can tell the Sun not to rise, with similar results. Love them, bond with them, and accept them as they are.

I take on a little dog training and dog sitting if my cat doesn't like a dog he will bate them into getting in trouble. He also seems to get it if I instinctively bark at him for scratching in the wrong place or something. It is all about being consistent I have worked with a large variety of domesticated "problem" animals and outside of longer term abuse cases its the training of the humans that makes the big difference and is the hardest part.
