The time where video can really be accepted as proof of anything has come gone with the exception of maybe 20 videos of the same event from different unconnected peoples vantage points. Even then… proving what it was they saw will still be in question.
All videos should be taken as most likely a drone or CGI. Witness reports with corroborated sensor/radar data is about the best we can really hope for.

On the zoomed in slowed down last video you show, You can see the size of the waves in comparison with what ever is in the water. Those are ripples. Whatever is under the water is no bigger than a jetski.

Pat, you might not want to say it but it looks to me like a pretty clear cut in the video the moment the object goes into the water (and not a particularly well disguised cut at that).
Raises alarm bells as it would explain how the clip could be hoaxed. The object approaching the water is filmed in one take (a drone perhaps?) and the object bobbing on the surface and going under is done in another take (probably some kind of powerful waterproof light attached to a line or a weight to pull it down) and then they are spliced together to create the illusion it is all part of the same clip of the same object. It’s one of the oldest tricks in the book as far as video effects go, and can be completely seamless if done absolutely perfectly and lined up with ultimate precision.
Your observation that the footage looks hand held is explainable by it being a fixed camera on a moving and bobbing object like a boat, which is constantly going up and down side to side etc as it responds to the water. The movement seems to indicate this.
Funnily enough it could be precisely this movement that prevented the cut from being less obvious.
It’s sad really because when I first saw the footage I was impressed, but it doesn’t take a massive amount of scrutiny to start seeing problems with it. I also found it entirely curious that this footage (which is pretty jaw dropping at first glance) is never mentioned, or shown again for the rest of the series, despite many clips being re shown numerous times. Not even when near the end they look back and summarise things.

My guess would be that they wanted something big for the docu, a major talking point, some kind of smoking gun hard-to-deny footage and they wanted it so badly (especially after they fail to deliver the extra jellyfish footage) that they hoaxed this clip, and when it didn’t turn out quite as well as imagined just stuck it in and kind of skimmed over it.
