Theres a metal box in the lake i think thats what its for so you dont waste a weapon
When I did this, I didn’t have any weapons I was willing to sacrifice for this quest. So instead I equipped a weapon and let myself get zapped. It was worth the sacrifice since I was down to two hearts after but I easily got full health back when I went through the shrine. 😋
For anyone playing on CEMU, check if you have the weather mod enabled. If so, DISABLE it and redo the quest, this should solve the issue where there is no lightning strike coming. Re-enable the mod if you want after quest.

I got the helm before i did this shrine so i just waited for a minute and for lightning to hit me
Theres a metal cube at the bottom of the lake. But its nice to know that I can just drop my weapon to blow up stuff with lightening ❤
Kass isn't even there for me
I have question, i'm playing in Cemu and lightning can't struck any items. I tried everything: droped all metal items, used thunderblade and remote bombs. It's not working,i can't attract lightning, what to do?
Quick tip: this shrine is a LOT easier if you have the thunder helm (beat divine beast vah naboris in gerudo to get it)
Where did you get the rest of the rubber armor?
I sat at the mound for 5 minutes with a metal weapon on to but it didn't work so I equipped everything that attract lightning and ran to the top and if I didn't have miphas grace I would have died 😅
Note to everyone just playing. It's way easier to climb mount Florian and glide to the shrine. There will be some climbing required but it won't be raining. Also, beware. When you drop your weapon to attract the lightning, YPU WILL LOSE THAT WEAPON. Account for this and use a weapon you do not care about, for example, one that's about to break or a rusty weapon.

This is all well and good but how in God's game do you reach Kass at this location?! I've been trying for an hour. The cliffs are too high to climb with the rain even with a ton of stamina. I've tried getting there from multiple directions…
Yeah im glad i had all 30 of my hearts and was doing this for stamina. Cuz i had the bright idea to hold my master sword and not drop it while lightning struck
how did the lighting not target you at all? i was getting hit every 5 seconds. went through 2 fairies and a mipha's grace. struck 3 times just from the bird to the shrine.
