Job description: Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Database Migration Engineer to support the migration of on-premises Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS Cloud database platforms. The ideal candidate will also provide occasional support for our GCP infrastructure platform. This role requires a strong understanding of various IT subject areas, infrastructure technologies, and application development methodologies.Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a DBA role, configuring and supporting a wide range of database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server).
- 5+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Focus is to migrate databases from on-prem to AWS environment – Oracle and SQL server databases being migratedRe-architecture – optimizing databases as they move to the cloud
Ideally someone that can work hybrid (10 days amount onsite) in Madison – lots of collaboration on the team
