Which of these facts about tortoiseshell cats did you find the most interesting? 🐈
My Tortie definitely has attitude! Even as a three month old kitten, she was not afraid of my daughter’s three very large dogs. And my veterinarian and told me when I brought her in at three months old not to let her get away with anything lol. She is a stinker, but she is an awesome cat.
I have a Torti and love her to death.
I have a Torti, she is blind in one eye, like me. That's why i picked her up from the cats home. Don't know her exact age but estimate she is around 11 now. We had many cats growing up, from Siamese to your regulars. She defo stands out as having an attitude at times, lol. Best thing i ever did was pick her, though im sure she picked me. She jumped in the cage at the cat rescue place, was funny and never forgot it. Sadly, her previous owners left her behind when they moved house.
Thanks to my kitten Danny's "tortitude", she's getting diapers to stop her from pissing on my shoes.
Gonna go look at one this weekend. Female lol.. tired of being alone.
Lost mine Saturday 😢
My tortie Piper had absolutely no fear when I adopted her. The minute she jumped out of the carrier, she took control of the house, running up and down the stairs and knocking over several lamps. She's settled down since then.
My tortie used to pick fights with dogs and scare them
For sure my tortie got an attitude I would even say semibipolor she either doesn't want to be touched and will let you know with a power barrage of paws or ask for few pets be satisfied and rubbed up on you and walk away but my orange tabby, she's just a sweet heart and just wants to know what your up to.
I have a female tortoiseshell cat and i gave her name, Dorito and she is really a spoiled and have attitude but I love her so much
The most affectionate cats I've ever had, they are DESPERATE for human attention. Two torties, years apart and they are like the same cat. It's not just coat color.
My tortie cat, Ebony (1993 – 2012) lived with me for a little more than 18 years. When she was younger, she would jump onto my bed in the early morning and stick her nose in my face as if to say "Feed me NOW".
Tortie kitties are the best! I have a Himalayan and I love him but I worried he was lonely so I got another kitty. My tortie girl is so affectionate and cuddly. She’s constantly climbing on top of me and purring and moving around. She sleeps with me every night. Sometimes she takes naps with me. She’s such a sweet girl. I lucked out getting a cat who is so loving.
My Mom and I adopted a tortie named Callie. She's very vocal, demanding and incredibly affectionate. She definitely has "tortitude". She is One of the best cats I've had the pleasure of adopting 🙂
My tortie is Cookie, she is around 14 months. Im her favourite! Hahaha im not sure to understand the tortitude, but she is sweet, lovely, gentle, she loves to kiss me and cuddle, but for sure ahe ia a drama queen, i mean if i dont let her go out, or if im late for dinner time, omg the meowssss, hahahahahaha its a sad lomg piercing your heart meoww pooor poor baby sooo misunderstood hahahahaha i love her too much
Im also not sure you can ascribe personalities to cats like this.
I have a tortie named Skye and she is the absolute sweet of a cat. She has no sort of tortietude. Everyone who met her fell in love with her.
The fact that they live that long
Wish I could post a pic of my tortie… she has major tortitude and she’s also a sweetie, when she wants to be. 😂
We adopted a tortie that we seen at about 8 weeks old outside of a home we were remodeling . She was hurt with a ruptured eye and looked as if her tail was broken . When we left she was nowhere to be found , the next day she was at my house on my porch meowing. Needless to say she hitchkiked home and we have gotten treatment for her . Shes a really cool hyper fun happy kitty now.
My tortie Miss Thurston Waffles definitely has tortietude
I have one Tortie that is a little devil and I love her and I have one calico who is a sweet angel and I love her. That's what our family is made up of one man two female cats. And I wish it would stay like this forever I could not imagine not having either of them around or biting my plants like my tortie does or both of them following me to the bathroom
Tortitude is REAL
I have a tortie and she is a complete crack head
My mixed Persian tortie definately has tortitude. If you follow her too closely, she will turn and hiss at you, but if you stop following her completely, she will stop and meow and wonder why you are not following her. I got her from a shelter and it took 3 months before she finally came out from her hiding place and introduced herself to me. Her name on her papers was Scarlet and she would never respond to this name. One day I was commenting on how fluffy she was and called her Fluffybutt. She stopped and looked at me and meowed and came over to me. So, I moved several feet away called her by by Scarlet and nothing. Called her by Fluffybutt again and her ears perked up and and she came running.
I used to have tortoisesshell cat named little bit she was very sweet and loving girl she sadly passed away a couple years ago
I had a tortoiseshell when i was like 8 years old she had a sister (golden maine coone) and a few siblings this tortie would rarely even meow is the most quiet and is the most cute (including her younger sister) i will never forget the memories she (the tortie) gave me 😢
I have a true torti with plenty of attitude. She sweet at the same time.
I am not a big cat lover, due to being badly allergic. However I somehow adopted a street cat thats tortoiseshell. She is a weird cat
7:16 yes my new kitten has it and I can tell because I have two other cats. She pounces up at them and plays with everything around the house. The other day she was playing with a wrapper🤦♀️😂
I have one I love her so much oreo she is a hot damm mess 😂😂😂 she is definitely feisty
