Yep, because the now butt kicking princess is a good way to advertise a princess that has been capture so many times that many wonder if she gets a kick out of it. Don't get me wrong, I knew they were going to update this, but considering the fact that they haven't bothered to update the formula Mario in over 30 years (outside of two installments and a few comics that ultimately never took off), kinda makes it a problem when they opt to do so for the movie. Wouldn't have been batter to have had her kidnapped, and as Mario and Luigi happenstance their way to rescue her, she breaks out on her own and then joined them mid way, or in just time for the final boss fight? Sorry, but I don't like it when they "castrate" a well established male character just so that a female character can have some character development.
Now if this were Daisy…then I'd be 100% okay with this, but not Peach.

This is so cute and I love it, I grew up loving Mario and I’m 17 almost 18, I only grew up with Nintendo, I was so obsessed with this character and I swear hearing that tune gave me so many memories that scene when they’re sucked into the pipes is golden, that memory has resurfaced and now it burned into my mind. Mario loving pasta with an unusually raspy voice that eventually grew on me. Loved when they turned into babies and gotta go stop bowser it’s so goddam cute to see this oh and of course the flipped coloring of their cloths when using the fire flower or ice flower god I miss it.
