Too bad they stopped doing mimic/ trapped chests. I mean, they make sense with Link being a little treasure goblin.
Skeletons are typically called Stalfos on Zelda games.
The slimes are known as Zol. They split into two Gel when hit. They've been around from the first Zelda onward. In Zelda II, they were replaces with two different colored creatures called Bit and Bot.
Fun fact: The third dungeon's name translates to Devil's Villa in german.
You are certainly welcome! And thank you for the positive feedback! I'm really glad to hear that this series was helpful for you. ^_^
i just want to thank you thejonnymar if it wasnt for you i dont think i could have beaten this game i have watched all of your links awakening videos more than once so i must thank you for an amazing channel
Wow! That's pretty cool that it still works!
I use my regular old Gameboy Advance SP…but the hinges just broke. But get this…the thing still works, attached by a single cord. The screen flys all over the place.
Ha. I haven't had pink lemonade in a long time! I might have to go get some now… 😛 But, yes, it's one of the few ways to do it without an emulator (which I don't like to use). The only other option would be the Super Game Boy for the SNES, which I don't own anymore (I sold it many years ago).
Oh…it makes me thirsty for pink lemonade. I suppose that's an OK option to use, because it's pretty impossible to record the screen of a Gameboy. They are so tiny.
It's a bit bewildering, isn't it? That's the default color scheme when I play this game on the Gamecube's Game Boy Player, which is how I'm recording the game. ^_^
Guys…why is everything pink?
Thank you for the positive comments! There should be a new episode up a bit later this evening. And I agree about the "item finding" sound in this game: classic and very memorable! ^_^
Yep, although not quite as good as the boots from Link to the Past. The boss challenge definitely ratchets up a bit from here on out. I actually don't have a favorite dungeon in this game, but check with me again at the end of the LP as it's been a while since I played. I'd say none of the first three, though. 😛
Thanks! We're quickly approaching the point where the difficulty curve spikes up, so we'll see if I can keep playing relatively well! 😛
Finally had some time to catch up on the 3 latest episodes of this. Good going so far, keep it up n-n
Hello and thank you! I will most definitely be doing Oracle of Ages and Seasons eventually!
There's always a possibility! I do own them, but I've only played through each one time. Still, they're on my list for possible future LPs! ^_^
Hey jonny!! Will you play Oracle of Ages and Seasons?? Great Gameplay!!
Is there any possibility that we will see the other GB Zeldas? I love them all, especially this one and seasons. Keep up the good work!
I'm not really sure. Apparently the leaves are of some importance to Richard, the Prince of the castle where the leaves are located. Perhaps a family heirloom? In terms of Link, they are only important to getting the Tail Key.
It definitely can be tough! Some of the latter dungeons are very, very challenging! 😀
Wth does these leaf does in a castle in the first place?
