Alan Wake 2 > Control
Reached the end of the game few hours ago. Its a trilling ride filled with surreal horror and beauty. The idea that Alan Wake is a writer of his own narrative should be more exciting then Sagas story. But i found her story very interesting. I dont remember last time i played as a detective in the game, but still her story has way better writing and its kinda more surreal then Alans Story. I don't know why they made that choice. Its like they made this Alan Wake DLC with Saga years back, and then they were like: "We need to add Alan Wake in this game somehow, it will give this game more identity." And in just few months they written and crafted the Alans Wake side of the story. I don't know if its a great game. The game is aware of it self in a way and i respect the whole thing just because of that.

I got as far as the first real boss, then quit. The combat is awful; aiming and tracking is wonky, the enemies are damage sponges, and bullets are extremely scarce. The worst offense though is “the mind place”. I’ve never been so immediately annoyed with a game mechanic, especially one that’s unavoidable. The games a mess.
This is game of the year for me just a fraction ahead of TotK. Remedy is on 🔥
