I don't believe we are in a simulation for one reason! The only reason the concept of being in a simulation exists is because we created computers, then someone came up with the theory based on computers existing, so it only makes sense because of something we created! If computers didn't exist then the simulation theory wouldn't exist!
That means we could create something else and come up with a theory that makes more sense because that thing exists!
An example would be what if the world was going to end, Elon musk or whoever found a way to take us to a different planet which we inhabited. 1000 – 2000 years down the line, people wouldn't even believe earth existed and on the new planet there might not be the resources to created computers, then the simulation theory would cease to exist!
It's not different than god or any other theory that we as humans have created!
There's an endless amount of things we don't understand or fail to figure out, but apparently we're intelligent enough to figure out the most difficult question and that's how we exist?
