Just like they act like a Bonobo is not very smart yet Bonobo's can be taught to talk to us through sign language. People just need to expand their thinking to understand how to communicate properly with each species and individual. Each has there own way of learning. We shouldn't assume they learn like we do or they just aren't intelligent. It's frustrating how long it's taking to figure all this out.

Yeah, this all tracks. I have a border collie/airedale mix and my boy is wicked smart. I always quote Good Will Hunting when I talk about him. Definitely the toughest, most challenging dog I've ever had, but also the most rewarding. Border collies are such a smart, sweet breed.

I had a Rottweiler that amazed me at how smart he was. He loved to learn and play things like hide and seek. He would wait for me to finish hiding a toy, then when I let him know it was time, he would search for it & excitedly bring it back & so many other things. It was so cool to see the things he was not only capable of but also really enjoyed learning
