Do you think Tomb Raider 456 Remastered will release for Ps4 Hen or no?
I feel bad for the people who were really looking forward to AoD, I personally only cared about Tr4 and was meh about Tr5, I had no interest in AoD and still don't so I'm not bothered but I will say that I had hoped they were setting us up for a certain kind of dramatic reveal with AoD when they kept showing 4 and 5 but barely any of 6- apparently I was wrong lol
Though Xproger and his team are amazing and given their track record with the first round of remasters I have no doubt they plan on fixing most of this with patches and updates, which is reasonable imo- it's more than gta fans got with their trilogy.
But apparently the team had a dumpster fire on their hands with AoD so the fact they made it even playable is commendable actually.

Came here for help hopefully as a quick fix. I just did the Ghost Raider achievement by jumping the gap to get to the secret in Cairo on TR4 in a non-tuned bike.
I saved once I got across now I can't get back. How do you make that jump back on an non-tuned bike, it seems impossible
People are saying that you can play 60 FPS on these games but you have to change it in the menu. Could you verify this?

I am so incredibly saddened by the fact that AOD has been neglected like that. It feels like 2003 all over again. I was hoping that the remaster will give it a second chance, a second life. But sadly the graphic improvements are hardly noticeable. So many characters have not been updated. Its unpolished and half baked.
I want to stay on the positive side of things and i hope for patches. They might have not had time to finish it (sounds familiar)
4 and 5 look amazing. Its unfair.
Oh and the controls are still ass, but im not even complaining 😅

How come tank control is good on 4 and 5 but not in angel of darkness? They should have removed the lego pieces look of the environments.
Angel of Darkness didn't need fixing. The tank controls aren't bad. But It is good they added the option for non Tomb Raider controls for fake fans like your self.
Unrelated to the video but please pay attention to your lights, it seems you're in a grocery store with harsh fluorescent lighting right above you, that hits your facial bones in a weird way and makes you look like a panda, try more diffused soft and warmer lights that bounces off your face more gracefully, trust me, it will pay off.

Yeah, the AOD NPC characters will probably get updated in patches… Original 123 R got some visual upgrades with bugfix patches… Anyone remembers seeing Maria Doria paintings in St Francis Folly's water? XD
Interesting….I tried the modern controls and immediately switched to Tank Controls as the Modern controls were awful and they felt so much better and natural for a TR game, which wasn't the case in the original release.
Ironically you say they are the same as the original, AOD Tank controls were actually not like the original Trilogy and the button layout was different too
Whereas in the Remastered Version they are identical to all the Remastered games.
There is no problem if things are not that perfect yet. Director of these remasters confirmed they will still make more Patches for TR I-III remasters, and TR IV-VI remasters will have the same amount of Patches as well 😉
AoD only will be almost perfect later on with some upcoming Patches
These remasters make me want a brand-new old-school Tomb Raider game, kind of like how there are new levels in the Quake remasters that NightDive did.
Just a $20 game that uses the same engine as 1-5, but built from the ground up to be a new game. I would love to see what old-school Tomb Raider with modern level design sensibilities would look like. They would realize that pushing blocks is zero fun, that the critical path shouldn't require obtuse jumps (save those for secrets), and that they shouldn't design platforming challenges that basically require quicksaving after every single jump.
AOD deserves a patch that applies the love and care it deserves… i was looking forward to an overhaul like what I experienced in the first 3 remasters. And it wasn’t there…. I often couldn’t tell whether i was looking at the remaster or old game… and often times, the old game textures in the environment look more detailed than the new ones, as well as several key NPC’s not even being upscaled in the slightest. Quite a shame…. I really hope it gets some patches.
A bad Game cant be fixed with a Remaster. Aod needs a Remake. But Last Revelation still is a lot of fun.
Regarding AoD, what I don't like:
-The skybox in Lovre. Come on…
-Some NPC's models not upgraded
-Camera in modern controls. I had problems faceing the camer upwords to the sky for ex.
-The swimming in modern controls. It's somehow slow and weird especially when I orientate her going upwords with the mouse. So camera has problems movin verically in the water and ouside.
– I COMPLETLY HATE the turn in place feature. There's no need for it! It slows down the flow. Why would you want to have an extra move just because it's extra if it's not adding something.
-It's hard to microadjust her positions and angles at the edges of platforms. It's way easier in the 1-3 remaster pressing walk button and changing the angles with the mouse faceing the desired direction. She will rotare smoothly by her vertical axis.
-I hate the step to action moves. I hope they'll add the feature like in 1-3 where she "teleports" exactly above the interactive objects to grab them or whatever.
-And THE BIGGEST problem of this game since forever, THE FIXED CAMERA ANGLES!!! Why on Earth not to get rid of them? They are weird and they're the main reason I died so many times! I tried to go through a copule of doors and I couldn't because of the camera jumps from a fixed to a regular one. So I ended up for 100s of times turning back instead of going through it like she was crazy!
-Why she can't roll while crawling like in the previous ones?
-Why there's no scene photomode like in the other two?
-Why there's no Putai FMV? At least as an reward for beating the game?
I am happy they remastered, but I don't know.. I'm kinda disappointed even though I lie to myself I'm not. I've finished the game in 6 hours last night trying to finish it as complete as I could.
At some moment I wanted to play more as Kurtis. He's too little present in the game sadly. I finished his levels like in no time. I barely used the gun. I like the new features of him and the new model is gorgeous but I hate the forword movement when he uses the blades. It's just RIDICULOUS all of that hopping move.
-I love they changed a little the final boss fight. In the original it was completely ridiculous.
– I loved the new restored lines.
In the end I feel like they could have don waaaaay more that that. I've seen some fan's work with this game far better. I mean, the definitive edition of AoD has the story that links Last revelation and AoD. Why not to introduce that for God sake, as a bonus/reward…!
So far im really enjoying tomb raider 4. Which i knew i would, it was always my favorite of the series . But AOD is unplayable

I'm not gonna lie, I actually really prefer the original graphics for AoD. There's a lot more detail than the updated graphics. The updated version has a lot of flat textures.
Watching this, waiting for it download, I was thinking of playing AOD first but I think I am just going to play in order. I imagine AOD might have more patches than the others so by the time I get there hopefully it’s in its best form
I loved how in the trailers (AOD) lara's bangs move and were curley but in the final product just stays stiff 😢 Also, yes, you've mentioned it, not all NPCs have updated models and it's ridiculous! The funny thing is that a prostitute received a makeover but the main villains haven't 😂 Aspyr, please address these in a patch 🤝🏻
