I might be the odd one but i cant like ryza, i prefer this and the previous atelier
completely DISAGREE on the music part.
ost in this game is very good with normal battle music, tutorial music and strong enemy music blowing arland and mysterious counterpart out of the water!
only dusk ost surpass yumia and secret serie is tie for the ost in ryza 1 and 2 only.

also supporting characters are good, Viktor is dense and duty bound as most knights in games, but not only he's not stupid, he's also empathic with yumia, although he doesn't spell it out most of the time.
Isla is great, your energetic friend that is amazed by yumia skills and is determined to stand by her side. almost every atelier have one character that is funny, energetic and very friendly from the get go (regina in ayesha, Eva in lulua, monika in Sophie etc)
Great review! Definitely a series I need to check out someday!
The game feels like Tales of Atelier. Im enjoying it so far.
Thanks for the review. I’ll pass on it!
When the Combat become Tales Like i know its my time to play this Atelier game.
Gaming Shelf back in action
its a skip, tragic
a game that dumbs down the series for a broad appeal open world rpg that misses the mark
don't start here for atelier, play older games to really understand the series
so many systems weaker than before, and it'll only get worse as the series continues
I've been wanting to play an Atelier game for a long time but I've been avoiding it since I dislike a stationary turn base gameplay. This might be a good entry game for me.
Biggest gripe is the price tag lol, my personal opinion i feel like the animations and movements look kinda chopped, ive seen free to play games that looked more polished but eh to each their own, at least you dont need to gamble since its paid so the spending ceiling is capped to skins i assume
I guess it's subjective but I actually liked this cast of characters more than Ryza's. Maybe because the more serious tone of the story made them feel more rounded and relatable, and I don't mind the anime tropes. Yumia being a bit more shy and soft spoken was actually a surprise considering how she was marketed as a "badass edgy version of Ryza" for most of the previews. But I don't dislike, I actually think her having the shy/cute side contrasts very well with her appearance and her mission. Lenja was also very lovable in a little sister kinda way and it was cool seeing her mature over the course of the story.
Once again, i heard Jack's voice and i had to double check i didn't clicked on the wrong video 😂
The game looks great. Gust took some risks but I think its worth it. Hopefully the game is a success and we get a more refined sequel!
I bought the ultimate edition
Are the other party members controllable during and outside of fighting or not? Also despite going action rpg did they keep fatal drives, if so do all party member have them and how many does each character learn? Thank you in advance!!
Tales of Arise, Visions of Mana, this game. An entry that looks great and strays far from the series roots. But we love them anyway. 😊
I still new to atelier. The first one i played is resleriana. After it closed try ryza and sophie. But the last one is still had bugged in gameplay. Yumia is much better gameplay even though so many old fans didn't like synthesis system. But personaly this one is the best atelier ever i played
I never played Atelier game.. But the Action Combat looks kinda ass ahaha.. Makes Xenoblade 3 look refined.
So is this game a true open world, or is it open zone similar to ryza 3?
well now they have to figure out how to write story/characters and make it look likes its not made for PS 3, make combat worthy of 2025 and we are in 5/10 territory.
I love it! The demo was a lot of fun.
Well, I am new to the Atelier series, so I plan on playing the ryza series first, then the sophie games 1 and 2.
Hello again, Jack! Did Mr.shelf turn into a puppy again?
Also it seems Gust is taking feedback and fixing major issues relatively quickly. good on them.
Does the game have bikinis in game, or is this a case of none or paid dlc?
