What a beautiful thing your wrote, and what a beautiful thing that Koho provides you with his special 'kitty love' and loud purrs. I lost a special friend too, a few summers ago. Surprisingly enough, it was my ex-MIL, mother to my first husband. One minute she was here, being such a good friend to me and my second husband and our kids whom she loved like they were related to her (kids are from DH number 2). Even though she lived with her other son in Texas, we remained dear friends till the day she passed. I miss her especially on Sundays when she would always called me, and we gabbed for 2 or more hours. Now I remember her with a smile, though it took a couple of years to be able to do that.
I am so glad you have your wife, kids and sweet dear Koho to comfort you. It takes a special man to appreciate the purrs of love from him. And yes, purring is comforting and therapeutic.
