Last Sonic game I enjoyed was Generations. But man I really hope later they add a DLC where you can play with the rest of the characters.
If this game is good, then like with Sonic Unleashed back in 2008, while I enjoyed Sonic Colors Vanilla, Sonic Generations and Sonic Mania/Sonic Mania Plus for the games and the IDW comics are a banger, I'll admit the 2010s wasn't a good decade for Sonic (still better than 2003-2008 IMO BC of games like Sonic 06 and how the Fanbase acted in the 2000s, though I liked Sonic Adventure 2, the Advance Trilogy, the Rush series and Sonic Unleashed.)
As someone who prefers the Sonic series from 1991 though 2001 (mostly Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Sonic Adventure 1 and Sonic Adventure 2) I hope Sonic Frontiers is a breath of fresh air.
Pre-ordered yesterday! I am very excited about this game. Sonic 1, 2 and 3 and knuckles have a very special place in my heart.
Thanks for the surface-level video. It's encouraging to see that prominent members of the community feel mostly positive about the experience. I haven't bothered with a Sonic game since Sonic Adventure II. Needless to say, the open zone approach in Frontiers REALLY snagged my attention as a huge fan of Sonic Adventure I. It seems like most of the complaints that I've heard so far have to do with the CyberSpace levels being reused from previous games, but as someone who has not played Sonic since the Adventure games, I doubt that I'm likely to be as bothered by this.
I've watched a few videos on whether I want to dive into Frontiers, and I think that this video is the final peace of mind that I need. I'll be avoiding any further footage, and I'm going to just take the leap.
My friend has the game on switch and he usually hates sonic games but his enjoying it and he loves cyber space!

Alpharad just dropped a video of his experience with the game and had a very positive reception. He also tried speed running the cyberspace stages and spent an hour on sky sanctuary before he finally got an S rank so I definitely think the times will be challenging once again!

What sites can you get frontiers from
As someone who likes the 2010s direction I might not like it lol. Jokes aside in Evans reaction when he said that people who liked the more recent direction (circa 2009) you’ll enjoy frontiers, I was happy as someone who doesn’t like the whole mellow drama of the mid 2000s I was skeptical of the story since it felt like we were going back to that direction. But thankfully Evan calmed by fears.

Have to say these past 5 months have been a roller-coaster. From that ABYSMAL first gameplay showing(regardless of the build) to 5 days out from release and people praising the game this much. Regardless of HOW good the game is, it's at least gonna be good. And as a major detractor of this one… DAMN does that good to sa- er, type.
I managed to play the game just a little bit ago. I am gonna stop now and wait to play the game until I get my PS5 copy. Because IT IS SO DAMN GOOD! It feels like it was made specifically for me dude. Please avoid spoilers and go in as blind as possible. This game is going to be great.

But to get back on topic I’m really hype for the fighting and the open exploration. Pretty excited to be able to run around a map without any restrictions or being forced to follow a path something I’ve always wanted in a sonic game (probably why I loved Sa1 and Unleashed but we all know Sa2 is goat)

After hearing Evan pour his heart out in his reaction to the Sonic Frontiers: Divergence prologue, and agreeing with every single thing he said in that video, I cannot tell you how excited I was to hear that he actually liked the game. Let's pray to GOD that Frontiers isn't a one-off thing and will be the direction they keep moving forward. Can confidently say this is my most anticipated game in a long time.
