Every cat is different. My Ragamuffin Ollie seems to receive kisses positively and will position himself and wait for ne to pick him up.
I pick him up properly and let his all of his paws touch my arms, which seems to give him a sense of security.
It is all about mutual respect. We do not have to be a cats slave or do we have to invade the cats personal space and disrespect the cats' boundaries.
my cat Fluffy was a very nervous timid rescue who at first was not keen on being cuddled but as she has built up trust with me she now enjoys a cuddle and even likes having her forehead kissed on a daily basis. I don't tend to smother her with cuddles and kisses as I know it can be overwhelming for her but I do get my rations thankfully. She does like to snuggle beside me on the couch though, and has just given me the most beautiful knead. Lovely video, thank you. #ilovecats
